Born and raised in southeast Texas and been here about six months. I’ve been missing Cajun food. We got the catfish poboy with fries, side of beans and rice, and New Orleans BBQ shrimp. Everything hit the mark. The bread and New Orleans shrimp tasted exactly how they should, perfect. Beans were soft and flavorful with shredded meat and sausage in there. Wish the catfish was seasoned a little more but that’s probably just my preference.

Hope to try the beignet...
The most authentic and delicious New Orleans style food you’ll find in D.C.! I had the crawfish grilled cheese with the Tabasco aioli and it was so delicious I could’ve had 13. My friend tried the jambalaya and said she needs to go to NOLA asap now! The flavors and hospitality from the chef and his wife are unmatched! The most flavorful food in town
I have been to New Orleans once and I very much enjoyed the city and the food. The food has character and uniqueness. I was surprised that New Orleans cuisine is not represented in DC. Hence, I was very excited to hear that Mardi Gras Munchies is opening its doors and serving DC foodies. I got the Cajun Shrimp Po'boy and the catfish one too, and they took me straight back to New Orleans. It was delicious, authentic, and the best meal of my day.
