I went here before covid and had an very interesting time. The music is good but the drinks are over priced and the women to men ratio is HORRIBLE. I have never been to a place that has so many dudes and zero women in one place. For a second I thought I was at a Howard reunion for gay men. If you like hanging out where there are a lot of dudes, and are gay come here. If your looking to meet women are have a good time without being surrounded be men don't come...

We celebrated my husband's 30th birthday with 10 of our close friends! Being that it was a milestone bday I wanted the night to be extra special. I had researched DMV restaurants for weeks looking for the perfect ambience, music and good food. That trio can be hard to find in one place! But Marvin nailed it! The scallops, Tim's Burger, brussel sprouts, steak fries, ribs, mac and cheese croquettes were wonderful!The night was absolutely amazing!!! The food was DELICIOUS, the servers were personable and on point! I didnt know which band would be featured but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! Future Band DC was fresh, innovative and a certified crowd pleaser! They had people dancing from beginning to end. My husband even got up and we danced for several song's (hes not a big dancer lol) We were seated right in front of the band and felt like VIP guests. They delivered a complimentary birthday drink which was so nice of them and appreciated. Marvin will definitely see us again. My husband enjoyed his night and birthday shout out! Marvin hit it out of the park. Thank you for such an amazing evening!!!!

The rooftop bar is awesome! The heaters that are placed above the bar helped eliminate the cold while we were up there during our trip in January.

Went here for Valentine's Day dinner. Staff are awesome and friendly. Loved the rooftop bar (yes even in February), drinks were great, food was delicious! Keep in mind the drinks are strong, but I didn't mind at all! We had another event after dinner there, but decided to stay because of the atmosphere and the live entertainment. Shout out to Ace Ono and Imani Grace (forgive spelling) and their band for an unforgettable night. Would recommend for date night, girls/guys night out, and bar time! I plan on going again, and hope to see anyone who reads this there!

One of my FAVORITE places in the city. When I first moved here I fell in love with the food, the environment, the staff and the drinks. I appreciate I can have a good time on the patio no matter the weather. They have been consistently on my top places in DC to have a casual night out and always have a great time.
I love it because of the name and Monday’s old school house music. I miss it!!!!

Marvin is such a chill, but live spot. I don't go out a lot a lot, but I've been coming here off and on for nights out, day parties, girls nights and dates for years. The drinks are pretty average, however the vibe is nice and they always play good music. I enjoy chilling in the outside area because whether it's hot or cold outside there is enough heat or shade to keep you comfortable. I also like how the overall space and bathrooms are pretty clean despite being a busy hotspot on the weekends.
