The food at this restaurant was horrible. I ordered a half smoke breakfast and got an old fried hot dog! The fried potatoes were dry and tasted like fried rice. The food is expensive and not worth the cost. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

So I decided to bring a friend to this spot solely because it's soul food and black owed. Had I known that it's not black owed any more I would've went. The food isn't good at all and the prices are ridiculous now. My fried potatoes, very bland and nasty, my bacon egg and cheese was the smallest sandwich I've ever seen, alot of burnt bacon, I barely see the eggs and can't even taste the cheese. I just hate when black owed restaurants sell their business to non black ppl and the food and prices change and go up, I'm so disappointed........

What I liked about it is that it is quaint and simple, very home diner feels.
Run by two people. Simple menu times.
We ordered grilled cheese 🧀 sandwich and French fries.
Made right in front of us. Pretty quick. Unseasoned though. But not an issue.
Probably the nearest place to have a little food if near Kenilworth Aquatic Garden.
Was full when we came but we had enough place. Reasonably priced.
The lack of veg options made me deduct a star.

I dropped in and ordered a classic cheeseburger and fries for lunch. The food was cooked in a flash, fresh and delicious! I ate at the counter, left a tip for great customer service, and spent $20. This is a local neighborhood gem. I will be back as often as I can.

I like Charlie I like his restaurant. It’s a good restaurant and look nice in here and nice food and stuff. A nice sandwich and a sandwich and coffee if you wanna come by come by and have a good time and get coffee and food.

My new favorite breakfast spot in the DMV area. The place was just recently renovated and looks fantastic. It has a homey feel to it. I loved eating at the bar with the giant TV.

I had breakfast here with my boyfriend and our friend and i didn't know what to expect. leon was an absolutely amazing chef. everything was made on a hot griddle right in front of you. he seriously made me the best grilled cheese i have ever had and i've had lots. the interior was so charming, we all loved the cutie lil signs on the wall. me and bf will be back to try the fruity pebble french toast!! this place is seriously a hidden gem.

Great spot first time trying it. BEST FRENCH TOAST I HAVE HAD IN A LONNNG TIME! Service was great everything was freshly made served piping hot!
