This was my 2nd visit (first was about 3 months ago). Both times, my group had excellent / attentive service. We all enjoyed the food, both times. The menu offers ample choices without being overwhelming. There are a variety of categories, including veg. I particularly enjoyed the bread with figs, and other filling. It's a fantastic value. The setting is comfortable and, for the prices, the ambience is good. It does not feel like a high-end venue, but the food tastes high-end.
Very lovely restaurant! Came with my father, very family friendly.
We got the Lamb Neelgiri Korma, the Baingan Bartha, and the Baingan Mirch Ka Salam and it was delicious.
Please beware if you have the spice tolerance of a white person like me that it can be quite spicy!
Even just the ginger in the Baingan Bartha was too much for me, and I had to change dish. The staff was very understanding and their recommendation was better. But do let them know when ordering, don’t make the same mistake as me!
My favorite part was definitely the desserts. I only took pictures after trying it out but we were floored at the cardamom-pistachio-raisin ice cream. Highly recommend that final touch, not too sweet but very flavorful.
The decorations and ambiance were also cozy, with oil candles, statues and gorgeous art. Loved the way it was decorated.

We had a fine and delicious dinner at Masala Art, as always. I tried the Railroad Lamb Curry for the first time, and it was delightful (and perfectly spiced). Like all their dishes, the flavors were complex and well balanced. My wife had the Tandoori Prawns, which were very special and came with a nice side of lentils. We also like that the restaurant offers a wide range of fresh-baked breads, and also that they sell half portions of some vegetable dishes to order as sides. I have dietary limitations for health reasons, but I'm always able to find something tasty that I can digest there.
Wonderful place, great atmosphere, Host was very friendly , great food as well. Thank you

I and my dinner partner greatly enjoyed the food, service, and ambience. Our delicious meals were promptly served, piping hot. The prices at Masala Art DC (Tenleytown) are quite reasonable, given the ingredients, complexity of preparation, and the restaurant's location in DC. Very pleased! Bravo!
A very pleasant evening. The cauliflower bezule appetizer was delicious and the hosts suggestions on entrees were perfect.
We came in for late lunch. Four of us ordered the non vegetarian tali. Very tasty and good value. Nice presentation.
Their food quality is okay but their portion size sucks. I ordered for $80 and it felt like eating taco bell items for $5 each

Food and service were excellent. Would return in a flash. Was very loud, despite dampening panels on the ceiling.
Got the saag paneer and garam masala for takeout. The texture of the paneer was mush and the spinach had no flavor too it at all, like it was chucked right out of the can. The tofu was also mush and didn’t hold any of the flavor or texture. Extremely oily curries and dry rice.

We love going to Masala Art! The food is always delicious and they are so welcoming. Never had a bad experience.
Absolutely delicious meals but quantity was too less for the price and for every extra pulav asked they charged but gave very less. Please improve portion size
