Absolutely delicious meals but quantity was too less for the price and for every extra pulav asked they charged but gave very less. Please improve portion size
We were early for dinner and the only two in the space yet we felt warm, comfortable and well attended even after tables began to fill the restaurant. Please accept the Maitre D’s suggestions because the menu is not exhaustive of what the kitchen can provide. Do not miss the dessert course: Calypson coffee and homemade cardamom ice cream is a fantastic end to the meal.

Step aside, Rasika. If you want excellent, authentic Indian, Masala Art is the best in the city. Get any of the lamb, biryani, or vegetarian dishes, you won’t regret it

The ratings say it all, really. Food was outstanding, on a par with any Indian food I've had. They made me my favorite dish, which was not on the menu. I was even able to engage the waiter on the subject of cricket. My first time at this restaurant; definitely not my last.

One of my very favorite restaurants. The food is excellent and so is the service. The ambiance is tranquil and friendly, a perfect place to share a long meal with a friend or spouse for quiet catching up.
Masala Art has been a mainstay of the neighborhood for many years. The quality and taste of the food is always outstanding, and the service is perfect. Everything is always delicious, perfectly prepared, and beautifully served. It's always a pleasure to have a meal there. Half a block from the Tenleytown Metro station (red line). Highly recommended.
Service took a little bit, but the food was very very good, will be back again!

Masala is one of our regular neighborhood go-tos. Dinner was delicious, as usual. Well-prepared, generous portions, friendly service.
Tried via Uber Eats and everything was very good. Breads were already a little dry and hard and overall super salty.

What made it worse was the way they treated customers. I noticed a clear difference in how they interacted with us versus other diners. While others were greeted warmly and served promptly, we were barely acknowledged.
This kind of biased and careless service is unacceptable. Save your time, money, and dignity—go somewhere that values all its customers equally.

This is a nice restaurant, quiet enough to have a conversation, and the food is wonderful. I had the vegetarian thali plate (5 small cups of different selections) which I love and is hard to find. The food was great, a nice variety and plenty to eat. My cousin had the chicken with fennel and loved it. The service was very good as well. It is well established in it's neighborhood, and easy to see why -- good food, reasonable prices, good service and a very nice ambience. Definitely a keeper!
