Best chicken tikka masala in town!! Very consistent too, and great service. One of our favorites for take-out in the neighborhood and in DC overall!

Not at all authentic, the Biryani had frozen veggies and rice was not cooked at all, the yogurt raita had no veggies and was stale. Very disappointed. I chose to go there because of 4.5 stars and google reviews, I was very disappointed. My friend who ordered the special of the day enjoyed her meal but that did not look fresh either. Most disappointing was no chai several customers came in for chai and there was no chai. Which Indian street food would NOT serve chai.

I spent a semester studying abroad and missed food from back home. I tried their biryani and couldn’t stop having it every weekend for the next 6 months. The chicken biryani medium spice is the best biryani I’ve ever had from any restaurant!! It’s the one thing I miss about being in DC

Amazing Indian food! I will say I ate here cause I wanted to cool down from sweating all day from walking. I didn’t realize that medium spice for the lamb biryani meant still meant painfully spicy for a parched person LOL. Amazing food regardless would love to try the mango lassi if I ever do visit again.

Very kind and hospitable people working here too. Food was served hot and newly cooked.

The food was really good, I forgot to take a pic at first so ignore the little nibble I took. Overall flavorful, fresh, and satisfying.

yellow dal and tiki chaat were so good but naan didn’t seem fresh, the seating area is small but they were accommodating. for one guy running it, the service was really fast and the prices were really reasonable

Being vegetarian, we ordered veg Momo's and veg biryani, and they both were super delicious. Veg options aren't significant, however, the available veg options are sufficient. If you are around this area, you should definitely try this small restaurant. Self service.
We are onsite and ordered to-go for the next day.

Inside seating available. Roadside limited parking.
Restrooms are available for customers.

Masala Street Eatery is a true gem in Georgetown! I stopped by on a friend’s recommendation and was completely blown away by the food and the welcoming atmosphere. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced — easily one of the best I’ve had in DC. The lamb biryani was another standout, full of deep, aromatic flavor with tender pieces of lamb that melt in your mouth. The chana masala was also excellent — hearty, comforting, and packed with authentic taste.

If you’re in Washington, DC—especially around Georgetown—you have to check out Masala Street Eatery! The food was absolutely amazing. The biryanis were full of flavor, and the chicken tikka masala was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had.

What really stood out, besides the delicious food, was the hospitality. The owners were so kind and welcoming—it felt like visiting family. You can tell they really care about their guests and the quality of their dishes.

Make sure to stop by before 11 PM, as that’s when they close.

Highly recommend this hidden gem in Georgetown to anyone who loves great Indian food!

I arrived on Wednesday at 11:05. Online they state they are open until 11.30. In fact the sign on the door also says 11:30. The doors were locked and they were not serving.

If I had to choose a last meal it would be the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan bread from this spot. So freaking good.
