Delicious food and fantastic service! We had a wide variety of dishes at our meal and everyone's order was fantastic. Burgers, pasta, pizza, and chicken - will definitely be back!

Discovered Matchbox at the Rockville location. When my girlfriends and I left an all-day concert, we decided to eat here because the concert venue had subpar food. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes. I have tried many different dishes and every time they are fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy but still a little fancy. The service is always friendly and fast.Don't sleep on the pizza, it's what they are most known for.Highly recommend!

Matchbox Pizza is a popular pizzeria chain with locations in Washington DC. They have a high-energy atmosphere, wood-fired pizzas, and bistro fare served in industrial-chic dig. Pizza are crispy and delicious. They have gluten free options

Decided to try this location at the recommendation our son. The food was ok, but the service at the bar was GREAT. The restaurant was kind of under staffed considering there was a concert at the Capitol One Arena, but the bartender, Manny, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good experience. We watched the elite 8 tournament, LSU vs Iowa game and the atmosphere was kind of blah, but we still enjoyed ourselves thanks to Manny. We will definitely visit again.

Stopped by for a late lunch and sat outside while the weather was perfect. The location is great, between the sights. The sliders and the tuna was fantastic. Highly recommend swinging by after walking around the town seeing all the monuments.

Dined in at this location waited 10 minutes for server to finally acknowledge us. 20 minutes after our appetizers still no food she kept saying it’s almost ready instead of lying just admit you forgot to send the order in. Ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes almost an hour after finishing our appetizers to get our pizza and she forgot the salad. Instead of an apology she said I never ordered a salad which my husband and I looked at each other and both said at the same time yes we did. I told her to forget it I didn’t care to wait longer and just ate the pizza which she never cleared our appetizers plates from the table never checked in and asked how the pizza was never offered any dessert even though I would have loved to try I would have gotten better service at McDonald’s. What a way to ruin a first time experience at matchbox with a horrible server.

Showed up after a Capitals game, host said they closed the kitchen in 20 minutes but we could grab a drink, bar closed an hour later. We sat down and they shut off the light at our table, left us for 10 minutes, as soon as we stood up to leave they turned the light back on.

I've always liked Matchbox. We used to have one in Woodbridge, but they shut it down at the beginning of the lockdown and didn't even try to keep it alive with curbside pickup. The food is outstanding, and the service is good. The cocktail menu is really diverse and delicious. They have a wood-fired oven to make pizzas, but that's hardly the extent of their cuisine. Their sliders with onion straws never fail to satisfy. If there's a knock, it's that they they need to work a little harder on the cleanliness. The menus were stuck together, and all of them had something smeared on them. They gave us a stack of plates, and the bottom plate had some old food stuck on it. Also, the tuna and guacamole was sent back because it tasted really fishy, which meant the tuna wasn't fresh and was probably frozen.

Really enjoyed eating at this place. The pizzas were all very good, but I especially like the fig and prosciutto one. The atmosphere was very nice and you can’t beat the location of you are going to a game at Capital

Pierre was our server and I was impressed with his ability to remember our order, although it was very simple, it's not like we were his first guests for the day and it was VERY busy that day. But for Pierre to be able to hustle between his guests and make all of us feel like we were being taken care of was a feeling I do not get at most establishments. BIG SHOUT OUT to you Pierre. Also the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and prompt in getting guests seated. Thank you Matchbox for accommodating me
