Came at 4:45 without a reservation and was probably 10th in line trying to get in for an early dinner when they open at 5. Quite worth the wait.

Great ambiance and service in this Michelin star restaurant with food to match. We got the tasting menu to try a bunch of dishes and overall thought the food was still similar to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food I’ve had before but with a unique twist on the vegetable dishes. My favorites were the cauliflower hash (reminded me a lot of Gujarati shaak that I ate growing up) and the halloumi + muhmmara dips. Unfortunately, I thought all the cocktails were very mid, so I wouldn’t recommend drinks there unless it’s something you already know.

My recent visit to Maydan was a mixed bag of experiences that left me with conflicting feelings. The restaurant boasts a stunning build and impeccable service from the waitstaff, but there were noticeable inconsistencies in the food quality that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal.Firstly, I have to commend the restaurant's ambiance, which is beautifully designed and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The waitstaff also deserves praise for their attentiveness and excellent service, making us feel well taken care of throughout our dining experience. On the culinary front, some dishes were exceptional and truly showcased the chef's talent. These dishes were bursting with flavor, expertly prepared, and left a lasting impression. However, there were also a few items that fell short of expectations, lacking the same level of execution and creativity. What disappointed me the most, though, was the disparity between the front-of-house and back-of-house experiences. While the waitstaff exuded warmth and professionalism, the hosts and management seemed distant and somewhat aloof. Their lack of engagement and hospitality was noticeable and detracted from the overall dining experience. From the moment we arrived, there was an air of superiority and condescension that made us feel unwelcome. It seemed as though they were holding their noses up to the patrons, which is not the kind of atmosphere one expects in a supposedly upscale establishment. In conclusion, Maydan has its strengths with its stunning ambiance, excellent service from the waitstaff, and some standout dishes. However, the inconsistency in food quality and the disconnect between the front-of-house and back-of-house experiences prevent me from giving it a glowing recommendation.

Wow!! This was our first time dining at a Michelin star restaurant and it was great. Reservations are very difficult to get. They open 3 weeks ahead of time at 10:00 every morning. I got on at about 10:02 and all the indoor reservations were taken for the date I wanted, so I got an outdoor reservation. It wasn’t my preference because the atmosphere indoors looked amazing. We did the Tawle experience which is $85 per person indoors but only $75 per person if you dine outside. I thought that was a good deal. The wine list was huge, it was literally a book! There were wines from probably 20+ countries on that list. The food was so flavorful and colorful. The ribeye was the best steak I’ve ever had. The yogurt dip, halloumi cheese, and harissa carrots were also amazing. Everyone we interacted with was very welcoming and our server Jose was great. It was an experience to remember!

Another great meal at Maydan. 5 years tonight we first experienced this restaurant. Molly, our server was the best ever! Food was amazing, as good as we remembered.

The food was uninspiring, service apathetic and the experience left much to be desired. Most disappointed with the bread (pita) which tasted raw and as if it hadn’t been fermented and kneaded properly. The hummus had bitter undertones, mushrooms too salty. What’s shocking is that out of my culinary adventures on this visit that included sababa, daru, das and karma - Maydān took the cake for the most underwhelming and overhyped experience, unworthy of the one Michelin.

Experienced the tawle menu for 5 for dinner, selected the steaks and fish as mains. Food was okay, I expected more as a michelin star and for the price paid. My favorites were the halloumi and the chicken and would recommend that. The ambiance was really cool, we originally reserved outdoor dining but was moved inside; really appreciated that.

Came with friends to celebrate an occasion. We saw a bug twice, alerted the waiter. He tried to catch it but failed! Manager didn’t even try to consolidate us, it was a crazy experience. When you pay this much money, you expect this place is hygienic. I can’t believe it, never coming back!

We were SO excited to finally try this restaurant after making reservations a month in advance. The food was truly delicious and worth the cost. Unfortunately, our experience turned sour when we saw a bug at our table. We ignored it at first, but the appearance of a second bug was simply too much. The manager came to ask what happened, if everything was alright. We told him that we there is a BUG on the table and he literally tried to consolidate us by saying there is a cleaning party sweeping the place everyday! Are you kidding me? The waiter saw and tried to catch the bug but failed! They didn’t even ask to give us a discount or anything. Such a shame!

Best restaurant experience we have had in a long time. Everything was amazing from the food, wine and service. If you go, it is definitely worth the Tawle menu!
