The food was solid, but not exceptional. Service was fine. Nothing in our experience was bad; accommodations to dietary needs were made. Having gf bread would have been nice—create a sense of inclusion for those in our party who had gluten intolerance. Olive oil in a Mediterranean restaurant would have been more appropriate than butter—or at least the option of it. I noted we were celebrating two bdays and while a dessert on the house was not expected, a little acknowledgement in some way would have been—even if it were simply a candle on the dessert we ordered.
Our favorite Downtown DC restaurant! The service, atmosphere, and food are outstanding. Do yourself a favor and give it a try if you haven't already.
The Chilean Seabass was delicious. Pricing was fair and competitive. Service was also quite friendly and attentive.
A great dining experience for a casual bite if staying in an area hotel for example. Everything was great, seating space was a little less charming than the rest of it but ok.
Great service and terrific food at a reasonable price in a generally quiet and accessible spot
We enjoyed a terrific dinner at Mazi. Service was perfect and the meals were fantastic. And the dessert of galaktoboureko was the perfect way to finish.
Very nice place. All of the staff was friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We were looking for some place different for us while in DC. We were very satisfied with our choice.
Great meal, especially the lamb burger! The ambiance was awesome and a perfect place for a date!
What an amazing restaurant. I ordered the pork chop and in reality it was a tomahawk cut. Extremely flavorful and amazing. My guests had Sea Bass and one was during for a good burger and both of these dishes were amazing as well. The burger had to be 3/4 of a pound by the size of it.
Dined here for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food. Appetizers: the honey feta cheese dish and the kefte were quite delicious. Mains: I ordered the Halloumi salad and added salmon. The portions were generous for both. The salad was fantastic- really loved the combination of flavors. The salmon was seasoned well just a touch overcooked. Decor: tasteful but a little tired. It didn't really give Mediterranean. There was a a lot of dark cherry wood. I think a slight refresh of the decor would elevate the experience. Crowd: Definitely a professional services/ lobbying/political crowd. My guest and I were the most casually dressed and we were in business casual attire. Most men had jackets on and the women were wearing corporate business attire. Service: excellent. Attentive but not overly so. The pace of the meal was perfect. We were finished with our meal in 60 minutes. Overall, it was a good experience and I would return for another lunch or even a dinner before a show.

I have been to Mazi on several occasions and ordered something different each time. The food is amazing! The espresso martini is unbelievable. The service in outstanding. The ambiance is fabulous! Visit them once and you will find yourself going back over and over. The owners are so friendly and inviting....Enjoy and You're Welcome!
Really enjoyed Mazi for dinner. We arrived for our reservation on time, were promptly seated and had drinks in hand in just a couple of minutes. We started with the Honey Feta, baked in filo dough. Very good. We also had the Antique Greek Salad - tomato, cucumber, onions with feta. Excellent. For mains we had the pork Souvlaki and the Chicken Kabab. Both came with grilled vegetables. Lots of food and perfectly cooked. We ended with a small piece of red velvet cake with a butter cream frosting - nice finish. Overall an excellent meal. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We look forward to eating there again.
I was in DC for work and decided to pick a restaurant I could walk to from my hotel. I’m sooo glad I ended up here! I sat at the bar and ordered a drink and some dinner. The bartender George was wonderful! Very attentive and helped me picked something on the menu that would appease my dairy allergy. I ended up ordering the pork souvlaki and it was delicious! Drink was great, food was great, vibe was great. Highly recommend!

The service was great. Food was amazing. We were group of 6 and everyone ordered different dishes. Everything looked and tasted great. Seafood pasta is a must. Pork chop was big and juicy (also recommend by the server). Appetizers (Brussels sprouts and trio of mushrooms) were just great. I would definitely come back.
