⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I didn’t realize the restaurant was about to close when we arrived—only 20 minutes before closing time. Despite that, the staff welcomed us warmly and still decided to serve us without hesitation. They made everything fresh, and the service was excellent from start to finish. You could tell they genuinely cared about giving us a good experience, even while getting ready to clean up for the night. Very satisfied and grateful for their hospitality—definitely coming back!

So Mechos was kinda good years ago but their food now is just bland now. Don’t let the looks fool you it’s not authentic Dominican food. Im Latino and this place is just wack to sum it up. I ordered Shrimp Mofongo, Pollo Guisado and Empanadas with a side of rice. The servers, even when communicating in Spanish were mentally not present, seemed like they could careless and failed to communicate the mofongo order to the cook after telling me to wait a few minutes while it was prepared. I already wrote them off because their food is literally lacking the flavor to even call it Dominican food but this really drove me to write this review. The lady at the counter just stood there for over 10 minutes staring at me occasionally and when I said something because I knew something was wrong she told the cook about my order and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes. They offered me a drink while laughing between themselves but if you are going to have an attitude on top of lackluster food then I’m going to give the people an honest review. Don’t let the nice appearance of the establishment fool you…they are not worth the money or frustration with those women who could just change their attitudes and actually establish loyal patrons. It’s cool though…tbh you are better off watching youtube videos and making it yourself because their food is not up to par. Should be ashamed to even call it Dominican food man lol smh

Yummy Dominican food. Great plantains, prepared multiple ways, chicken and pork dishes, great fruit juices. Well definitely visit again.

Food was over cooked and bland. Stewed chicken was very oily. Rice and bean definitely sat too long and were mushy. Service was not good at all. The employees just stand there and stare and offer no assistance. When I tried to give her my order she just stood there looking into the sunset. Overall I would not recommend.

ATTENTION MELLOS A few days ago I was in this restaurant and bought fried plantains with cheese. It was horrible. The food tasted like fish. It seems that the oil was not good. I still think that it is a good place to eat, but they should take action on the matter.

Yesterday after driving an hour calling and confirming that they had pasteles en hoja a dominican favorite during Christmas I proceeded to placed and order for 1 dozen and also order 1 dozen beef empanadas for a total cost of around $100 dollars, upon arriving at home notice the empanadas dough was very dried hard and sticking together, this morning i went ahead and cook one of the pasteles just to see and it was awful, there were no ground beef in it, only few raisins, and they were hard, definitely cant serve that to my guess, very disappointed

The food was really good. The only issue was the pork was a little too salty. Other than that it was authentic. We went twice during our DC trip. We couldn’t only buy 1 chicharron, an entire order was required. Worth stopping for sure if you like DR food.
