Food was good, service was mediocre. I understand that people had accents but my server was impossible to understand. Then, he went ahead and just gave us the second portion without asking just put in on our plates.
Price and portion size was good. It wasnt the best of the best cut of steak but it was decent, not too bad. Fries were good, the sauce was a bit too salty but it was fine. Salad and bread were good, nothing special though. We also had the key like pie that was good.

Excellent time there. Had a Valentine's Day brunch set for 16 only half attended but the restaurant made sure to accommodate me and my guest! Gave me extra roses to decorate the table which was so kind! Love going to medium rare for their brunch at the Bethesda location! Decided on this location and would recommend! 10/10 food, drinks and servers! Will definitely be back soon!

A classic. Great deal for a bottomless. The staff are incredible. We had Peyton who apparently only works weekend brunch and he is THE MAN!

We had the best time! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. It was my birthday and they celebrated with me and the food was absolutely delicious.
The gentleman with the curly hair at 6:30 when I went in, said to me and I quote “what can I do for you boss referring to me as boss?” Boss is an offensive word and he needs to know that the term goes back to the Jim Crow days. Imagine if I called him Capo? Or Curly? Certain words must never be used ever again in a professional environment referring to people as boss is one of those instances and one of those words
The steak and fries is always super tasty, which makes me want to love this place. However the service was really not great, especially this time I visited. For brunch I ordered an orange juice, and was served a Screwdriver (OJ and vodka) — I took a sip and realized and had to send it back. Our server brought the wrong food to us twice, once the total wrong dish and once a steak and eggs with the wrong kind of eggs. Also, I have been seated at the table right behind the hostess stand for a few times in a row now, and it is really disruptive to have staff constantly bumping into us and the music is incredibly loud. Overall, I want to like this place - but with service issues like serving alcohol to someone who didn't order it and generally not being able to relax and enjoy my meal, I am just not inclined to go back.
Always good food! Went on a crowded Friday night and it was a little loud and hectic but still a nice time.

Medium Rare is a solid neighborhood spot. The food is consistently good, and the ambiance is pleasant and comfortable, especially for a casual night out. That said, the service can be hit or miss. On our most recent visit, it was slower than expected and lacked attentiveness. Overall, it's a good restaurant, but improving the service would make the experience much better.
The concept makes for a nice dinner outing. The food was delicious, especially the sauce, and I was pleasantly surprised by the bread and salad as well. The ice cream sundae was a fun way to end the meal. However, the service fell far short of expectations. Although we had a reservation, when we arrived they didn't have a table ready and almost seated us outside. Luckily we were able to get a table inside, but it was located right by the bathroom with a lot of foot traffic. The staff seemed rushed to turn tables, which made the experience feel hurried throughout. For example, the steak arrived before we had finished even half of the salad, and our second serving was placed on the plates without asking if we wanted more. Additionally, the second steak serving was cooked rare instead of medium, but it felt so rushed, we didn't bother correcting it. I asked for a few extra fries but was told they would charge more which was disappointing. I thought that the fries at least could be unlimited but they're pretty strict with the two servings. Throughout the night the staff rarely recognizes you unless to push you to the next part of the menu. Reservations are definitely recommended for weekend nights. They do allow you to take leftovers to go, but the takeout boxes were excessively large; smaller boxes would be more practical given their operation. Overall, I was disappointed with the service, though I understand it could have been an exceptionally busy night. I'm hesitant to recommend it but would consider trying again, maybe at a different location.
Enjoyed the bar. Bartender makes a delicious Old Fashioned. Met friends and were immediately seated. Waiter brought water, bread, and butter. The food was delicious and the wines were divine. Love this restaurant. Staff and Manager were great.
Great, easy dinner experience. Good quality steak frites without the high sticker price. Great concept.
It's been a while since I had dinner at Medium Rare. This was my first visit to this location. It is relatively small, but mighty. The wait staff was very attentive and the steak was cooked to perfection. I appreciate, too, that Medium Rare softens its butter for the bread - this is a detail that too many places forget. We left satisfied and well fed, even though we skipped dessert.
