What a cute concept! I’ve heard about Metrobar but finally went recently. During the cooler evenings, there are heaters for the outside seatings, and inside the car is just as toasty.
Ordering is a little weird. You can order drinks from the bar or scan the QR code. However, when using the QR code, the drinks come from outside, not made by the bartender in the metro car.
There’s also food on side where you can go outside and order or you can scan the food QR code. However, ordering from the QR code, you have to pick up the food a little ways down from the bar.
Now that the concept is more understood, it’ll be easier for me to order more appropriately.

Entered into this establishment by random after leaving the Art exhibit. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Great music and chill vibes. Very spacious. Staff are quiet friendly and very close to the metro.

Terrible drinks. The hot coco was chocolate flavored water. I will not be going back.

Super fun reuse of an old Metro car. They also have plenty of heated space on a cold day.

The Berry Mass Ave was great!
I really want to like this place because it’s a nice space and cool concept, but I have had a bad experience everytime I came here. Staff are consistently rude. It’s supposed to be one of the Washington Spirits official bars, but they only put the game on one TV (out of several) without sound, and since the one screen they put it on is outside there’s a glare so you can’t even watch the game. They are really taking advantage of the Spirits and I hope they dump them as a sponsored bar. Drinks are over priced and watered down. Sadly won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Check out Wundergarten, Dacha, Dew Drop Inn, or Midlands if you want good vibes with an outdoor space. Not here!

Need more/faster bartenders for the amount of ppl that go. Very fun and staff were very nice.

Nice outdoor place to sit in the sun, but people on the door were strangely abrupt and rude.
It's not hard to smile at someone as they come in - if someone is surly and miserable on the door, it paints the whole place like that.
However, food stalls and fun outdoor tables make it a fun place to come.
We cane early on a friday so I'm not sure what the atmosphere would be like when busy!
Downside is food is quite pricey! But that's to be expected here

I had a very disturbing experience at Metro Bar DC. After the bartender made a comment suggesting I had a crush, a man I didn’t know came over and offered me a drink. Knowing the importance of being cautious, I tried to play it off, but after taking just one sip, my tongue immediately started tingling. I knew something was wrong and left the bar right away to contact the police.
No one should ever have to experience something like this. I’m sharing this so others can stay aware and so management takes stronger steps to protect patrons from potential drink tampering or unsafe interactions.

Nice atmosphere. There was an African food truck on site and additional restaurants across the street.

This could be such a great space unfortunately on multiple past visits it’s been ruined by truly atrocious djs and overly loud music :(
Nice spot, easy parking. BUT the bathroom didn’t have any soap and (as others have said) the drinks are WAYYYYY overpriced and too small.
Good ambiance but service might be better.
