Food was excellent, service was fine, but when we arrived for our 8:00 reservation they asked us to wait. More parties arrived and were quickly seated as we watched not understanding. Finally we pressed and were told they were waiting for a party of four to leave before we could sit down. Why not just explain so from the beginning to avoid confusion?
I had a note twice in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and it was never acknowledged. All throughout the meal we heard other people singing happy birthday and having their nice moment, and I was just handed the check. Additionally, the waiter never told us that the kitchen and bar were going to be closing, never got a last call. When we wanted to put in more food and drinks, he told us the bar and kitchen were already closed. We got no warning and had no idea. Not a great experience.
We booked a table at Mi Vida because of its reviews and proximity to the Lincoln Theater. The food was excellent and the service was great. Drinks were interesting but, in my opinion, quite expensive. My only complaint was the techno music that was quite loud. It seemed out of place for a Mexican restaurant. The interior of the place is dark and cozy and the thumping music is distracting. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and the service. The food was good, but I think it was not a great value for the money.
Fue una experiencia no muy buena con la comida y la iluminación para mi gusto muy oscuro así que no volvería y no lo recomiendo
Excellent lunch. Sopa de pollo and brisket mole enchilada. The mole is outstanding. great service. Noise level low since it was a quiet time.
Service and food is always great. This is one of my favorite spots for lunch dates , happy hour with friends and dinner with family.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing staff! Our server was super kind and the food came out quick. The food was delicious; we got the camarones tacos and the aguachile tropical. Portions were small for the price but to be expected!
Server was FANTASTIC. Crab dip and margarita flight were both delectable. Excellent experience overall - excited to return.
The desert that I had was so good! It was like an espresso brulee and I ordered guacamole 🥑 to go with the chips. That was super fresh.

Just returned from a visit to Mexico, and had dinner at La Vida which brings some of the greatest MX ambience to DC. The food in MX is so varied and La Vida echos that. Very tasty tacos with seafood and beef for two of us and black mole on quesadillas for another guest, with a huge selection of drinks to go along. We will definitely be back to savor much more of the wonderfully promising menu!

Mi Vida is a fantastic Mexican restaurant right in the heart of The Wharf. The food is absolutely delicious! The Cochinita tacos were packed with flavor, and the salmon manchamanteles was spectacular (the combination of flavors was bold, unique, and perfectly balanced). The staff is incredibly friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is big and spacious, with stunning views of the pier that add to the overall vibe. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

First time visiting Mi Vida and it was great!! Definitely asking for Linda next time I visit!
This place knocked my socks off! I can't tell enough people about how good this place is. Everything, including the service, was expertly done. I would definitely make a stop, then next time I'm in D.C.
