Food was excellent, service was fine, but when we arrived for our 8:00 reservation they asked us to wait. More parties arrived and were quickly seated as we watched not understanding. Finally we pressed and were told they were waiting for a party of four to leave before we could sit down. Why not just explain so from the beginning to avoid confusion?
I had a note twice in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and it was never acknowledged. All throughout the meal we heard other people singing happy birthday and having their nice moment, and I was just handed the check. Additionally, the waiter never told us that the kitchen and bar were going to be closing, never got a last call. When we wanted to put in more food and drinks, he told us the bar and kitchen were already closed. We got no warning and had no idea....
We booked a table at Mi Vida because of its reviews and proximity to the Lincoln Theater. The food was excellent and the service was great. Drinks were interesting but, in my opinion, quite expensive. My only complaint was the techno music that was quite loud. It seemed out of place for a Mexican restaurant. The interior of the place is dark and cozy and the thumping music is distracting. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and the service. The food was good, but I think it was not...
