First off, the name is very misleading. This so-called “midnight mug\\\" is not open midnight. It's only open until 6pm. And the coffee came in a cup- not a mug. When I ordered a toasted bagel, they gave me a bagel, that was not sliced in half, and i had to toast it (with the inefficient toaster) and saw it in half (with the awful plastic knife). You also have to put the cream cheese on yourself. When you order a latte, they put way too much milk in it. The bagel was very mediocre. They were quick though and you can pay with FLEX dollars.

This is a convenient place for healthy "grab and go" food. Due to the large campus, people will pay higher prices for the convenience. The Hoyas snack shop isn't terribly far. If you are a visitor or don't have time to schlepp to another building you won't leave the area. The chilled areas include prepared sandwiches, yogurt, croissants, pastries, sodas & water. If you want a toasted item, you have to toast the bagel yourself. The toasting machine is efficient. The plastic knives aren't enough to cut the bagels. The bagels are so big that they get stuck in the bagel cutters. My friend liked the coffee. The seating area was convenient and comfy.
