What a absolutely extraordinary experience. We were beaming the entire time. The service is like no other and the food was heavenly. It is definitely worth it and will give you a once in a lifetime experience.

Minibar and Barmini, back-to-back on consecutive nights, turned out to be a great decision. The cocktail program was impeccably calibrated across the board. One drink in particular was a genuine head-scratcher in the best sense, foregrounding raw garlic. It wasn't the most hedonically pleasing pour, but it was brilliantly conceived and memorable--an intellectual cocktail that still made sense in context. The rest were sheer pleasure, balanced to the millimeter.

Both experiences delivered the mix of pageantry, surprise, and concentrated flavor that José Andrés is known for. Service choreography is tight without feeling stiff, and the pacing keeps the meal buoyant. By the end we were full and satisfied. If I could tune one thing, I would have welcomed another protein course somewhere in the middle; the latter part of the progression skewed a bit fat-forward, especially with the chawanmushi near the close, and our stomachs testified to that the next day. Even so, this remains about as good a Michelin-level experience as you'll find in D.C., and better than many in larger markets.

The wine pairing was spot-on and the cocktails were superb, from classical structures to more experimental builds. José Andrés continues to impress. If you're on the fence, go. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing time as usual with our 2nd time back. I think the AC was broken so it was a bit hot/sweaty but still a great time.

What can I say about my experience at Minibar by Jose Andres? From beginning to end, it was an amazing experience. I took my wife there for Valentine’s Day. I had to book this reservation when they released their availability during the first week of January. There is a limited amount of seating for their tasting menu (which fills up quick). We’ve been to multiple Jose Andres restaurants in the past, but this by far exceeded all other experiences. This tasty menu was paired with different wines from all over the world. My wife does not like seafood so they were able to make multiple substitutions for her. The dishes that stood out the most were the Shawarma, lamb mole truffle masa cake, oyster chowder, and the KK doughnut. The one drink that I can’t get out of my mind is the 2010 Château de Yquem. The attention to detail amazing customer service, and knowledge base their staff had made the entire experience enjoyable.

Food 10 stars, service 10 stars, music playlist 10 stars!

Came to minibar for new years a year ago and had the best time and meal. Everything that was served was memorable and the service had the perfect balance of professionalism and personalization. Highly recommend to anyone!

We came here for a birthday dinner and left completely disappointed. The small bites in bar mini were stellar and honestly that’s what I’d suggest. We’ve dined at nearly every Michelin rated (including bib gourmand) restaurant in DC and with minibar I can say firmly, save yourself the expense and time. Of perhaps ten courses, only two were memorable. The wine pairings while aged and rare were a mismatch with the courses and the menu was loaded with one trick pony flair (foam on absolutely everything). The general manger, while seemingly attentive and approachable, was unwavering on certain elements of the experience and specific requests. I waited years to experience minibar and I can honestly say that it was less enjoyable than even some chain experiences.

This dining experience is truly extraordinary, offering a wide variety of dishes that challenge your palate with flavors ranging from spicy to sweet, salty to tangy, and everything in between. The restaurant has only 12 seats at the counter, so I was fortunate to secure a spot for this remarkable experience. From the chef’s counter, you can see every action in the kitchen and watch how your meal is prepared. We were served 16 unique dishes, each one an adventure with complex flavors and rich histories. The wine pairing was well done, featuring selections from small, family-run wineries in Europe and other countries that are not easily accessible. Every server was attentive to their guests, and they even surprised us with a complimentary meal in a to-go box. I will definitely return!

Enjoyed the food here. The counter seating is special and makes the dinner interactive over 3 hours. I had some blips in plating but it’s worth the visit for the food alone

Wow, we have had fabulous meals at minibar before but this was even more spectacular than past visits. Every single dish was fantastic; cocktails and mocktails were amazing; service was impeccable. 100% recommend -- one of the best meals / experiences we've ever had (and we eat at a lot of Michelin-starred restaurants).

Our *only* critique is that some of the servers' accents were so strong (and they spoke so quickly/unclearly) that we couldn't understand all of the menu descriptions.

It’s been ten years on our bucket list but finally made it to Minibar! We have been to several of Jose Andres’ establishments in DC and é by José Andrés in Las Vegas. However, Minibar has always been the one I wanted to try.

Thank you to the amazing Jose Andres team for making this an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect!
