I have enjoyed Il piatto's happy hour, which is terrific, but got dinner for the first time with a colleague. We both enjoyed the experience! Loved the Limoncello martini and Old Fashioned cocktails and our server recommended two great glasses of wine with dinner. We spit an order of calamari, which was light and flavorful and accompanied by two savory sauces, a marinara and aioli. So good! For dinner, I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara which was so delicious and my friend left no trace of the Spinach Ravioli on her plate. Our waiter was thoughtful enough to actually split the tiramisu which was a really nice touch! Shout out to the wonderful staff at Il Piatto who made us feel welcome from start to finish! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience with well-priced food and beverage options!

First time to this place, I had the ceasar and chicken parm. Service was attentive at first, but dwindled as the meal progressed. The caesar was good, it had cucumbers in it which was different, but overall good. The chicken parm was excellent, the breading and sauce both very flavorful - the only crictique is that it had a bit too much cheese. Overall good and will be back.

Unfortunately, this time the service was beyond your usually good standard. The waiter was obviously not very much interested in serving us and not very attentive. I had difficulties signalling that we wanted some desert and afterwards that I wanted the check. I had much better lunches at the Il Piatto. Sorry

The price for the 3-course bottomless brunch cannot be beat! The tiramisu French toast was outstanding! The Caesar salad was tasty as well. I also loved the dragon fruit mimosa. Service was speedy and friendly! I would definitely return for the brunch.

Food was yummy and portions were very generous. The shrimp in my linguine pescatore could have been cooked just a moment less. I was celebrating a friend's birthday and the restaurant provided a delicious slice of cheesecake (maybe a ricotta cheesecake?) for the birthday celebrant. I'd definitely enjoy going again.

Absolutely delicious! This has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while, and I was not disappointed. I went for Valentine's Day dinner and their pre-fix menu was delicious and a good deal for the four-course meal you get.

I was responsible for planning a team luncheon. I chose Il Piatto because if their great ambiance, high level of service from the moment you walk into the restaurant until you leave. The staff is excellent! Very attentive and the food is extremely delicious! This was my third time dining here. I also enjoy myself and so do my guests!

Great service, menu and food! Only thing I would say is that no where does it states you can't do a regular mimosa with orange. I had to talk to 3 people to get orange juice with my prosecco. Very bizarre and baffling on the push back for a paying customer. I would return and would request to not be seated in the back back room.

It was our first time to Il Piatto, and our part of 6 all selected the bottomless mimosa brunch option. The service was on point, the various flavors of mimosas were delicious, and the food satisfied every taste bud. You can't go wrong with the Arancini, Calamari, Beet Salad, Florentine and Prosciutto Benedicts, or any of the desserts. We'll be back!

Reserved a table for 2 and was seated promptly, We ordered our food and Drinks, We were given bread and oil, but no balsamic vinegar, we watched other diners who arrived after us be served promptly, we asked 3 times for extra bread to no avail, My Wife ordered a gluten free meal that was listed on their menu. My meal was delivered first and at that time my wife was told that her order was not available gluten free, She ordered another meal that was gluten free and 5 minutes later her original meal was delivered and was not gluten free even though the staff stated it was, My wife spent the remainder of the evening in pain from Dinner. My meal was good tasting but nothing special.

The Arancini were the best I've ever tasted. My friend got the Seafood Risotto. I don't eat seafood but the risotto was also one of the best I ever tasted. My friend loved it all!!

I go to Il Piatto several times/year for special group lunches. It never disappoints. The food is always excellent. The last time I was here, the service was a little slow and inattentive, but maybe that's a function of an inexperienced staff (I know that's a struggle with a lot of restaurants these days). So I don't think it's fair to be overly critical of that. But back to the food - which is the reason for eating out - everything I've had has been delicious. I am a big fan of the chicken Milanese. The arugula salad and parmesan are perfect for that dish.

Visiting DC so this was our first time dining here. The food (chicken parm, fettuccini con salsicca and Caesar salad) were all delicious. We will recommend to our daughter and son in law who live in the area.

The food was good, but the wait service was terribly lacking. They have a bad policy of automatically adding 20% to the bill....seems like that takes away the incentive for good service.

Everything was excellent from arriving to departing. The service was prompt and staff friendly. The food fairly priced and delicious. Most plates are small portions with exception to the chicken Parmesan. It is a generous piece. Very good. The only complaint is the dining chairs are small and narrow. The chairs have closed sides and make it uncomfortable for larger people. Still, highly recommended.
