Great wine shop that’s tucked behind purple patch up in mount pleasant. Lots of wine options. It’s cute and small (which can be a pain on the weekend) but worth it. They sell artisanal goods too. Will need to go back to get a sandwich some time soon!

Perfect place for lunch. The focaccia and sandwiches are always good ❤️

Incredible spot. Grab some focaccia and a glass of wine, then peruse the wine bottles
with owners Thea or Morgan (both wine geniuses). If you’ve already discovered Nido on Google Maps and are now researching whether to go, just head on over.

Nido is such a special place. It's a neighborhood gathering spot, an amazing lunch restaurant (the focaccia sandwiches and rotating conserva plate are incredible!), it's a place to try pop-ups from innovative chefs, it's a spot to chill and read a book, it's a place to get personalized wine recs and the best fancy snacks. It's particularly special though because the owners and staff are so kind and thoughtful, and so skilled. Thea (an amazing sommelier) has given me wine recommendations that brought holiday celebrations to a whole new level, and everyone at this women-owned shop will make you feel at home.

Great wine shop in the heart of Mt pleasant. I was fortunate to meet the owner today and she was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the wines. They also sell food, cheeses, dips, snacks, etc for purchase. Will be back for sure!

Some of the best sandwiches ever. And the wine selections and store are AWESOME! The service was amazing too. We always make a point to stop here whenever we’re nearby.

My fiancé and I were looking for a curated wine selection for our wedding. Thea delivered exactly what we were looking for. It was a highlight of our wedding planning experience. Thea went above and beyond giving us an incredible tasting and helped us navigate our price point — we landed on four super fun bottles that our guests are sure to enjoy. 10/10 recommend using Nido and Thea for your wedding wine!

We had the most delicious food at Nido. Thea is a phenomenal woman,? one of the owners,?sommelier,? and the "hostess with the most-est‼️? We loved it so much, we participated in festivities twice in one day. A++++++

And like Arnold Schwarzenegger, We Will BE BACK‼️???

By far my favorite wine shop in DC! They have a great (and well-organized!) selection of really fun and unique wines, and are always so helpful and welcoming. There are plenty of choices at all price points which I really appreciate, and I’ve always been impressed by everything I’ve tried here.

Nido is one of my favorite places in d.c. full stop. They've got it all: great wine, dips, appetizers, tinned fish, potato chips with all kinds of flavors, etc. I haven't had their sandwiches yet, but all my friends tell me they're excellent. They have at least 2 tastings per week and they usually have a theme of some sort, like wines from a family of Portuguese winemakers or Black-owned distilleries. They also sometimes collaborate with local chefs and have special events and dinners which are always AMAZINGA local-owned (and woman-owned) small business that I am very happy to support on a weekly basis!

Love this gourmet shop & market! The wine and cheese selection is excellent. Plus my 10yo loves & loves their olive blend and focaccia. Nido is our stop for a special evening together. Also, the owners are just lovely and know their product really well. 100% Recommended!!!

Amazing food in a chic, homey layout, served by incredibly warm and welcoming women. The housemade ricotta blew my mind.
