If you are looking for a place with great view and atmosphere, look no more. Moonraker is a nice spot in Wharf. The atmosphere is amazing with great cocktails options. The outdoor seatings are not too conjusted so that you dont have to worry about what others might hear of your business dealings.Food is good but not exceptional (not that i was there for), the drinks menu are seriously unique and i cant wait to go back to try the rest.

Can you beat that view? Excellent service. Will accommodate any request for your special occasion. One of the coolest bar designs around DC. Decent wine and champagne selection. Tokyo fried chicken was great.

You can watch a beautiful sunset here while drinking at the bar. The staffs and bartenders were very attentive and I'm glad I've found this place! Signature cocktails tastes amazing too.Big thanks to bartender James.

I attended an event at the hotel and decided to stop by the Moonraker for a drink afterward.Pros: The ladies at the hostess stand were very nice. The views were amazing. They had music, and the outdoor deck was absolutely beautiful!Con: The place wasn’t crowded for a Thursday night. There were 3 bartenders working, although I think one was in training. After waiting several minutes, the bartender Javier finally came to the section of the bar where I was sitting. He noticed me but proceeded to stand in front of me and finish his beverage before addressing me. I can’t say it was a warm welcome because his statement was “Can I get you something?” as if I was inconveniencing him. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I definitely didn’t feel like this was how to address a customer and did not feel welcome at all. Additionally, for the location, atmosphere, and the fact that I was paying almost $30 for a glass of wine, I’d expect a little more in terms of customer service.I would likely give it another chance if I happened to be in the area. The other staff members that I encountered throughout the hotel, were very nice, so hopefully, this was just a one-off occurrence.

Pricing is hilariously high - even for the wharf (which is saying something!). Food was great, service was decent - would expect more out of a $20-30 (per drink!) cocktail spot. Definitely a special occasion place or a place to spend corporate money. Will be curious to see how they last.

Beautiful decor and views of the river! Kevin, the GM, should be acknowledged for his friendliness and ability to connect with guests. Shout out our waitress who navigated our request for a non-menu item successfully. We will certainly be back.

Shanta, our server, was amazing! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience! The food was great but Shanta's service was even better. She accommodated all of our needs and made sure we were well taken care of. 10/10 service from her. We WILL be back!!

The food was great and as expected after reviewing the menu. The selections are tapas/appetizers, so its best to order 2-3 per person and share them famly style. The view is nice.Service was terrible. To start, we entered and off of the elevator, noticed a host stand with no one there. We waited patiently for a couple of minutes and no one came, so I entered the lounge and asked a server if anyone was a host tonight. She replied "yes, he is just outside now". I went back to the stand and waited another few moments until he came to seat us, which he did right away.Getting to our seats, we met the server, who brought us water and asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered a bottle of sake, a Man on the Moon (cocktail) and a glass of champagne. We didnt see anyone again for another 10 minutes... well we saw them but they paid us no mind. 15 minutes in, our drinks came. I had the Man on the Moon, sipped it and immediately commented on how good it was. We continued talking and reviewing the menu, when the server returned reaching for my glass, saying "sir, this is not your Man on the Moon, this is someone else's and its a double". I said OK, but stopped her from taking it commenting that it was good. What were you going to do with it, throw it away anyway, i had taken sips from it. Why not just notify me and let me know it was a staff error?Another 10 minutes passes and a man comes to the table with a bottle of sake, and I asked if we could also order food with him and he stated "sure". He fumbled with the cork then said, "i will be right back". 5 minutes later, he comes back with a different bottle, now the correct sake.. There is obviously a bartender issue. He pours sake, takes our order and our food comes out, eventually. What was intended to be a nice night with conversation, food and drinks, ended up being a night of waiting and staff issues.

I loved Moonraker. The view is NEXT level good, the wine list is good, and the server and the manager worked seamlessly to ensure glasses were full, as were plates. My only comment is that the sushi was good, but there was so much sauce it was hard to taste the goodness of the fish. I could have done without some of the added sauces, but it was still very good!

Cool vibe, great food, good service — truly would've expected better based on the reviews and the price. This place is astonishing expensive, even for DC, even for being in an hotel, and even for the Wharf. They should see what DC's best cocktail bars actually charge and be ashamed. Will only last on one-off diners and/or corporate expense accounts.

Exceptional ambiance, experience and cuisine. I sat at the bar and had a great time interacting with the bartenders. They are up for going off menu to craft cocktails for your palate. The sushi was also delicious. I was there solo and felt very welcomed.

Wow , is really all that's needed to say. It's sad that many other restaurants don't provide the level of service and quality that was received at Moonraker. I have already referred 3 others, and plan to return in the near future ! Thank you staff !

Its my daughters favorite spot in DC.. so we went for her 23rd bday. It was my first time and I loved the entire experience. They even brought her a complimentary desert to celebrate. The drinks were perfection, the food was delicious, and the ambience was perfect. Last but not least... our waiter was wonderful.

Went here and had a great time staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the sake and Maryland crab roll, I will say thumbs up for the crab roll , but I do share the same sentiments with those who say it is over price and not great portions that match with the price of the food. I will recommend this place as a splurge or a cute date night for your 5 year anniversary. The joy of the experience was our wait staff and host.
