I never had a bad experience in a restaurant before but I did today at this restaurant I was feeling mad!
Smash burger wasn’t smashed, expensive food for small quantities, and terrible waiter to top it off. Our waiter deliberately stopped us leaving to call us out on our tip. He said we should have left more because it maintains his livelihood ,yet he provided minuscule amounts of service and still had the gall to ridicule us for more. I’d leave 0 star review if I could do to the poor service they provide here as it made the food unenjoyable.

I attended a work celebration, so idk what the regular atmosphere is. That day the service was friendly and welcoming, drinks were strong, and the food delicious. I ma still having flashbacks from the meatball sliders.

The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and checked on us regularly and the atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The appetizers were good (chicken wings and mozzarella sticks) but the entrees were just ok. A nearby table warned us that the steak and schnitzel weren't the best so we ordered the blackened fish sandwich and tacos which seemed to be cooked correctly but lacked seasoning. The cheesecake was good though it didn't have a graham cracker crust, which didn't bother me but think it could bother some. Final thought, great service, relaxed atmosphere, and ok food. Score should really be a 3.5 but I can't give a half star.

What’s not to like - a lovely neighborhood tavern where one spicy pineapple margarita always becomes two with great vegetarian options and absolutely delightful service on the floor and behind the bar.

We had a poor experience at this restaurant, unfortunately. Our waitress, Whitney, was very rude to us and the food was just not great. My boyfriend ordered a smash burger, but it wasn’t a smash burger at all. The patty was not smashed; it was more of a medium-sized patty. The burger patty was simultaneously overcooked, dry, underseasoned, and lacked any sear (which is characteristic of a smash burger). We got a to-go box regardless.
Our waitress, Whitney, was incredibly rude. She brought us a comically small container, and when my boyfriend said, “I don’t think I can fit the burger in here,” she replied, “Why don’t you try, and if it doesn’t work, I’ll bring another one,” then stormed off. When she returned, he tried to politely explain that the burger was severely overcooked and not a smash burger. He really was polite about it too. She was so rude that I was shocked by the experience. She slapped her hand on her leg, threw her hand in the air dramatically, interrupted him, and said, “Well, that’s the way we’ve always done it here, so if you don’t like it, maybe don’t order it next time,” before storming off again.
The entire time, she was dismissive and displayed annoyance at anything we asked, including questions about my food allergies. We paid $24 for a dry burger and a side of fries. Our terrible customer service obviously made the whole dinner disappointing. I also paid to have chicken added to my salad, and it was very dry as well. We were really excited to try this place. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, we will not be back due to the terrible burger and the poor customer service we received from Whitney.

We were absolutely thrilled to work with Jess at Moreland’s Tavern for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks. Jess was fantastic from start to finish, helping us create the perfect event and menu while staying within our budget. The upstairs of the restaurant was set up beautifully for our party, complete with a photo slideshow of us playing on the TVs, which added a nice personal touch.
The dinner was delicious, and our rehearsal dinner guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the roasted chicken was! After the sit-down dinner, Jess and her team seamlessly transitioned the space into a more casual area where the rest of our guests could mix and mingle, complete with an open bar and light snacks.
The bartenders, Jess and Max, were absolute pros—our guests certainly kept them busy and they did an amazing job keeping us and everyone happy throughout the night.
Jess and the team at Moreland’s Tavern made our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks unforgettable. As our neighbors up the street, we are so glad Moreland’s was a part of our wedding weekend as a favorite neighborhood spot we can revisit again and again. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great event venue with top-notch service!
