Hot take — More restaurants need to be deaf-owned. I can't stand going to a restaurant and having to scream at the person next to me to have a conversation. Surprisingly, there was still music, but they're not blasting it.

The pizza and wine were delicious and paired great with each other! You're not going there for the finest of either, but they're also not cutting corners. We ordered a second margherita pizza immediately after ordering the first one.

Our server was Esmerelda and she was patient with my slow caveman-quality ASL. I was able to mention that it was my friend's birthday and with an ID confirmation, the staff got together and signed "happy birthday," which was a nice and sweet surprise!

I would totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a light meal without breaking the bank. No need to be intimidated by the language barrier either. You can easily point at what you want, but if you want to make more of an effort, you can scan the QR codes at the table to view animated GIFs of the staff signing things you might request like, "beer", "wine", or "parmesean cheese" — the essentials!

Truly exceptional pizza on the H street corridor . Great salad also. Limited but nice wine list. Somehow I didn’t realize ( when I booked ) that all the staff there are deaf Everything works seamlessly.

Eat here !!

The restaurant is pristine and the staff is very kind and polite. We visited from New York City after a recommendation from a deaf friend and colleague. We highly recommend if you’re in the DC area.

Probably the best white truffle pizza I’ve ever had. Also, incredible service! Can’t wait to return and try the rest or the menu.

THIS WAS SO AWESOME!! So wished I knew more ASL, so we weren't a fumbling mess trying to figure out how to order? People were very nice, food was delicious, and they even had a website for basic signs so that was awesome!✨️

Very nice experience, staff very welcoming and attentive. Very good pizza choices. Nice portions with a good price. Personally I would add the service charge (18%) within the food prices so people are not confused over tip.

Spent over a $100 on pizza and waited for over an hour. Overpriced drinks, poor service. I doubt this place makes it. They told me my order would be ready for over 30 mins. Displeased.

We studied basic ASL before coming here and were so excited to have the opportunity to practice! The environment is very welcoming to all, they should be very proud of how well that’s executed. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! This is a wonderfully unique spot not to be missed.

The only Deaf-owned pizza establishment on the East Coast. Had a rocky start due to Covid, but has persisted through the challenges, sped up service and is now thriving. Drake and Puja provide excellent customer service. Both Deaf and Hearing customers mingle and are regulars. I go here about weekly and always find someone new to talk to. Highly recommend.

Overpriced pizza and the pasta portions were extremely small. My asparagus was burnt and left a bad taste for me. I spent $100 for 4 people and was not pleased with the food!! But, it is a clean and nice atmosphere. I'm disappointed with the taste and portion size.

Mozzeria I love you and I will come hear EVERY time I’m in town. If I could take this spot back to LA I would! Pizza is beyond fresh and delicious! Nice, quiet, and clean place with awesome AC. Friendly staff! I’m so glad I randomly ran into this place walking down the street visiting.

Best pizza on the east coast. The crust is fluffy like a home made marshmallow but got bite and the charred bottom with a hint of bitterness. Unbelievably good pizza.

For me this is a must try, the chicken wings with the fig sauce is a flavor that you don’t expect and make you want all your wings for the rest of your life just like those. The pizzas are so good the crust is crispy and thin and the ingredients are very high quality. Loved the tiramisu and the affogato.
