I called and inquired about birthday cakes for my wife as we were driving up from Chicago. They were very accommodating and fairly priced. Customer service was amazing and I ended up going for red velvet cupcakes 10/10 for presentation and taste

Dropped by after seeing this place online and the service was terrible. The only person in there didn't greet us when we came in and very reluctantly told us what flavor options they had. She wouldn't tell us what speciality cupcakes they were offering and it honestly seemed like she was upset we came inside. The cupcakes look tasty but they seriously need to work on customer service.

Their cupcakes are very good and tasty- a tad expensive for what is offered. We've ordered birthday cakes here before and the first one turned out great (a beach theme), but the second time the cake was delayed several times and wasn't quite what we ordered and tasted a bit dry.

I ordered a cake for my sister’s 30th birthday. I discussed what I wanted on the cake and sent a photo similar to a photo that was already on their gallery. They LITERALLY CHARGED ME FOR EVERY LITTLE THING!! And the cake came out looking like a little kid made it. I SPECIFICALLY asked for GOLD LEAF, BABY PINK, HOT PINK, and WHITE. The cake looked terrible. It tasted good tho which is the only reason I am giving a star. On top of that, they charged me for a huge 3 0 to put on top of the cake and when I sent my friend to pick it up, ON THE DAY OF PICK UP, they said they didn’t have it so asked if I wanted something else on top. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! I was so disappointed in how the cake turned out. It was ugly. The blue, gold and white cake is a picture from their gallery which is the picture I sent to them for residence and is how I ASKED for my sister’s cake to look, the cake on the right is what they made me. The 30 on top are numbers I bought last minute. The cake looks like a cake for a kids bday party. A Walmart cake. NOT WORTH $170!!!!!!!!!!

The cupcakes are fine. The concept is great but execution is disappointing. I went in with my two kiddos that were excited a bout picking a base, toppings, ect. The person serving was busy filling a bulk order and had to stop to serve us. I get it, you are busy, but the point of this is to build a cupcake. Thats going to involve kids at times trying to decide what they want with lots of options in front of them.
They were clearly trying to rush us through and be done with us. We left feeling disappointed. There was only us and one other group of 3 behind us.

I feel bad about not liking this place as much as other people seem to. The cupcakes are very pretty but taste-wise seem very standard, not as moist as I'd hope, and sweeter than I like, which I realize is dumb criteria and very subjective. I've gone in twice now, and each time I've felt kind of like the front counter person would rather I not be there.. I've tipped both times and tried to be kind, but I leave feeling like I should probably go someplace else. This place is really popular, but it's not for me.

I walked in a few minutes after opening. The young lady was chewing some food and walked over without greeting me. She stared until I asked about the flavors of the cupcakes in which she looked a bit annoyed and started saying the flavors while her head was down in the display pointing to the cupcakes; I could barely hear her. She made it seem like I was bothering her by being a customer. This was my first time trying this place and based on first impression, I will not be coming back.

I really wanted to like this place. After paying almost $400 for a cake and presenting the receipt from them showing a pickup time of 2 pm, I called and they told me it can’t be picked up until 4 pm. It’s always unfortunate when you do extra work to support a black owned business and pay a premium for the service to LACK. Tried it, it doesn’t matter if this is the best cake I ever have, I won’t ever patronize this business again.
The place looks fun. We had two cupcakes the blueberry lemon cupcake was dry. The presentation was cute. Never judge a cupcake by its frosting.

Popped by to check them out for large order. Walked inside and was met with awkward stares because I seemed to be interrupting a conversation the staff were having in the back. Had to ask 2 if they were open because no one welcomed me in. As I stared at the case of cupcakes at the counter I was hoping someone would walk over to tell me more about the flavors. There were no labels, the staff did not seemed interested in being helpful. The cupcakes are “just okay”.

Not to mention, it was a ton of fun to get to create my own cupcake and try some of their specialties! I can’t wait to take my friends here on one of our “Girls Days”. The customer service was also amazing, I think the staff had just as much fun helping me to decide what to make as I did! Thank you My Cake Theory!
