We loved it, nice place, excellent food and great service by Kiran, and lovely Indian music. Thank you.

The very rude and condescending server ask me if I could read English. I’ve never been treated so poorly by restaurant staff in my life.

Rude stuff
My children loved it so much, they asked to go two nights in a row. The service was great, and everyone was kind and welcoming. We will absolutely go back when we are in DC again.

Dropped into Naanwise again tonight to get out the house after a day dodging the rain. The whole team did not disappoint me. I had The Lamb Saag which was pure deliciousness, and Naan Bread. Flavorful and just spicy enough for all palates. Remember - The place is hammered on the weekends during the day when the National Zoo is busy. It is quiet and a treasure during the week and in the evenings. It is a DELIGHT!

Honestly, this place was a total letdown. The service was super slow and it felt like we were bothering them just by being there. The girl working up front had zero energy and acted like she couldn’t care less. We barely got a hello. The food came out cold and had no flavor, and the worst part? We found a hair in one of the dishes. That was it for us. The place didn’t feel clean, nobody checked in on us, and the whole vibe was just off. I usually try to give places a fair shot, but this was just bad all around. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. I’m not coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I'm in town for business. I was very excited to see so many gluten-free options, even on things, I usually can't get gluten-free at an Indian restaurant near home. The food is phenomenal and I really think it's a good value. There were so many choices. I decided on two of the appetizers get more variety. I'm extremely pleased. I only wish I was in town longer so I could try more of their dishes.

The Naan bread is divine, I got it to go but nibbled on it long before I got home. Excellent service too from Kiran. You must visit, they're truly naanwise.

This is my go-to DoorDash Indian. Any place that has Curry Pakora is gonna have my business. Always delicious. Also I don’t love the price of the Chicken 65, but I’m addicted.
I had to review because last night 4/11/25 around 5pm their Butter Chicken which I’ve had before went from good to great. Amazing balance of savory, sour, and spice. It was like Indian Butter chicken with Pakistani inspired Butter Chicken. Cannot rave about it enough. Time stamp included cuz your kitchen needs praise.

The lentil soup was little thinner. However, chicken curry with Naan was amazing. They made us welcome (with a toddler). Friendly staff. Clean.

Service is outstanding. All staff were so friendly. I can not say enough good things about the food. Flavorful and just spicy enough (🌶🌶🌶). Perfect!
