Fantastic service, food, decor and overall experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a comfy but refined date night. Cocktails were 10/10 as well!

Thoughtful celebration of foods from Persian, Turkish, and Greek backgrounds. Appreciated the careful preparation of abundant vegetable dishes. Olives were delicious in every application. Wine list has great selection of Mediterranean producers (though I’d advocate for sparkling from someone like Filipa Pato or Furlani or Tetramythos if I had to come up with something to critique). Cocktails are inventive but not ostentatious. Table service is natural and well-paced. Everyone on the team was calm, cool, and collected in a full dining room. Nothing ever felt too casual or formal. Each element came together to create an atmosphere of understated luxury.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are excellent, filling, and nutritious.

I had the silkiest hummus served with fresh, nigella seed studded bread and eggplant dolmasi served hot. I felt like I was at my Nana’s for a holiday meal. The Turkish-style arak service is so elegant! I will come back with Baba for sure.

My daughter and I ate here about a week ago, and we loved it. She is a vegan, and we found many choices for her, as well as many for those with different preferences. The service was fabulous, and Junie paid us great attention to ensure we were enjoying the experience. We met the owner who lives in the neighborhood like us, and he shared a bit about the history of the menu. The drinks also are tasty. We are heading back this week with another group!

Every dish we ordered was great. The flavor, preparation, and plating made each dish enjoyable. The server knew the menu well, and gave helpful recommendations and descriptions. The pacing of the meal was off and rushed. We got all three small plates before we got our cocktails. Two of the small plates were warm items meant to be enjoyed immediately and the pacing made that challenging. We’ll go back as we live nearby, but we’ll wait for our cocktails before ordering food, and then order no more than 1-2 items at a time

Just tried newly-opened Namak this past weekend. The food is outstanding and unique. Incredible attention to detail and ingredients, particularly Turkish and Persian. Great vegan and vegetarian options. Try the eggplant dolmas (kuru patlican dolmasi), piyaz (gigante beans), and especially the amazing sautéed green beans (fasulye). The fasulye looks very simple but has incredible flavor. Wonderful atmosphere and decor (including sound dampening ceiling to make it easier to have conversation). Highly recommended!

Excellent good and fantastic food. Ramazan thank you for taking care of us.
Namak is a perfect reason to get yourself to Adams Morgan! This new restaurant (in the former Mintwood space) is so beautiful and the food is so good. Highly recommend the grilled octopus with carrot puree, the whipped goat cheese, sesame feta, zucchini fritters - everything we had was a new taste of the eastern mediterranean. And the beet's knees cocktail is a fun spin on a regular bee's knees.

My family has been lucky enough to enjoy two incredible meals at namak since they opened. What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The food is outstanding, creative, fresh and beyond delicious. We have tried about a dozen different items so far and not one disappointed. The service is equally excellent and the decor is warm and cozy but still lively. This will definitely be at the top of our dining out rotation. Get there as soon as you can! Congratulations to Saied and John on their tremendous accomplishment. Looking forward to many, many more meals with you.

Went for our first visit to Namak last night and loved it! The space is nicely designed with a Turkish touch. The food was phenomenal! Had the whipped goat cheese dip, roasted cauliflower, the lamb shank and they were excellent! They just opened up a few weeks ago and I can’t wait for them to expand their menu! We will be back!
