Excellent food, service here is excellent. Go to the counter to order, they will assign you a table if you're dining in. Go sit and they will bring out your food. I ended up getting a dessert as well, which they brought out later. JP was out on the floor and did an excellent job checking on things. Will definitely come back!

Nifty Portuguese fare at Nando's. What a treat for the palate with sweet and savory dishes featuring their signature Peri Peri chicken with your choice of sauce and heat. My daughter got the traditional chicken with two sides and I got the Rainbow Bowl with chicken thighs. The real treat was the halloumi cheese with chili jam. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Look forward to returning for the great food at Nando's.

Being from the UK, we have at least four Nando’s near our local city, so we were surprised and found it funny to discover a Nando’s in Washington after three weeks in America. We were craving a bit of home comfort, so we decided to visit, and it was a really fun experience. The restaurant is located in Chinatown, which added a quirky twist to our visit.
This Nando’s was exactly like the ones back home – the same setup, same menu items, and same standard of food, which was comforting and familiar. There wasn’t anything on the menu that was unique or different from the UK, which was slightly disappointing, especially since other international Nando’s we’ve visited, like in Dubai, had bespoke options.
Overall, it was definitely a cool and amusing experience, offering a little taste of home while traveling. If you’re from the UK or familiar with Nando’s, it’s a fun spot to grab a familiar meal and enjoy the same reliable food in a completely different setting.

I am South African and have never felt farther from home than being at this Nandos.
I came in to find home. Hospitality was none existent. Service was terrible.
Food was average and dry.
We arrived at 7:45 pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm. Wed evening. No wings, no fries. They were clearly closing the space down.
All sauces had no caps and had plastic covering them so we could not use them.
Sarcastic comments, no smiles, clearing plates off our table before the kids were done.
When I asked if we could leave their plates as they were eating I was met with - I am clearing the empty plates sarcastically.
It was clear we were unwelcome and the staff wanted to shut down. We left at 8:30pm.
I watched another customer try to connect about South Africa and another sarcastic dismissive look from staff
South Africa is known for its hospitality and friendly demeanor. We welcome people and take the shirt off our back for them. The door here was half closed - happy to take my money but
Deliver 50% of what I requested.
I wont be back!

This is the second time I’ve come here, ordered the 1/2 chicken, and been made to wait for over half an hour because it’s cooking. This time, it’s been over an hour! I truly don’t understand why this place is managed so poorly. It’s a shame because the food is good, but not worth waiting an hour for two orders of 1/2 chicken.

I loooove the food here. Visited dc for a show, went here 2x. Consecutive days. Both days the food was superb. Flavors on point. Chicken so tender. The sides were delicious too. Loved the mango limeade. Wait time was about 20 minutes entry to food on table. We had the whole chicken with 2 sides plus fries.

We've been coming here for years but recently we noticed that the service has tanked.
We came here for a final lunch with a coworker (Tobi) who was leaving us. There was no one at the reception to get us a table. We ordered and everything else seemed fine... for now... We ended up waiting about an hour for some of our food. My coworker (Zach) still did not get his food after an hour so he ended up requesting a refund and getting food nextdoor. My other coworker (Nima) got his food so late he has to stuff it down like he never ate before and ended up being late for his meeting. We also witnessed employee verbal altercation where they were yelling at each other. All in all I hope the service improves...

Disappointing. Nandos, YOU CAN DO BETTER. NO sauce in the chicken liver meal, NO to-go cups for customers, NO chili sauce for the halloumi cheese, NO mixer in soda machine for Dr Pepper, and a simple order took 45 minutes because you forgot about me. AND THE HOST SIMPLY SMILED..... Yet they will gladly ask for a tip.
