The food is good, the customer service is not.
I can understand if its a busy night, speed isn't guaranteed, but it is completely free to offer at least somewhat decent customer service if things are delayed. I ordered a simple meal for take-out and arrived on time as the email stated. I waited in the standing area for over 45 minutes for my food. And in those 45 minutes, the only person to check in on me, my order, and why I have been standing there for so long, was the manager when they arrived.
A 45 minutes delay with zero accountability is ridiculous. I kindly asked for an update stating I have been waiting here for nearly an hour past when the food should have been done, I got the "your food is on the way", tough cookies kind of response. I finally got my food after 50 minutes, the funniest part was there was no acknowledgement of the wait or my patience to just sit there until it was ready. The best they could offer as a condolence, only after I asked, is a free fountain drink? You have to be kidding me.
The food is good, but the customer service isn't, and I value being treated decently as a paying customer. I'd check out roaming rooster on U st instead of here. They're just as good if not better, they deliver, and I've never had this kind of issue going there. I won't be going here again.

Excellent service! Janelle was very warm and inviting. She checked in on us to make sure we enjoyed our food and service, and made wonderful conversation with us and our five-month old. This kind of customer service, particularly in a fast casual restaurant, has been hard to come by in DC since the start of the pandemic. Nandos and Janelle should keep this up.

Unprofessional, service is horrible. People dinning get their food before takeout customers which makes absolutely no sense. The whole staff is laughing and joking around instead of dealing with their rush.

Giant decline in quality and consistency over the past few years. We used to frequent Nandos but the last few visits have been let downs. There seems to be a lack of service standards as most items aren’t prepared per menu (missing ingredients, not shredding chicken for wraps, etc.) My last wrap was literally a full chicken breast wrapped in a tortilla with nothing else ?
Not sure if the problem is just this location, but I’d try one of the other options in the neighborhood.
This Nando's is probably the worst one in the world. I have visited Nando's all over the world. It took them 15 minutes to even get my order right. All I wanted was a wrap. I don't understand why is it so difficult to understand? The girl taking our order must be on drugs. She is just lost. The soda machine is broken. There are no utensils at all. The food isn't horrible, but it is NOT the normal way Nando's usually is at all. Avoid this Nando's

Honestly, I did not know what to expect. Came here an hour before they closed and went in blind. But boy did they blow my expectation out of the park. Got their hummus which was great and gave me a generous amount of pita, then had their half chicken which was not only crispy, but juicy as well. This grilled chicken was delicious with their signature sauce. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was great as well. Would recommend if your looking to try something new.

Ok idk if it's because I ordered on a app... But it's ridiculous.. I order a WING PLATTER 24 WINGS... I only received 12.. and it's 41 dollars for 24 wings.. ??????but its always this particular nandos.. it seems like nobody in this particular store can read or count.. but hey... If you can order from Hst nandos or go pick it up ..
