Stopped by after dinner down the road for some drinks with a friend in town. Place is cozy and clean, with fun decor. Bartender was a cool dude, had great recommendations for interesting beers. They had movies playing on the TVs which were a great distraction.

Updated from 1 star: After running into several early closures, I finally got to grab a last call drink at actual DC last call time (I prefer last call, one-n-done service). Service was swift. Bartender was present, kind, and actually behind the bar. Last call vibe was lacking patrons but it might have been just too late for this neighborhood. I'll be back.

Neptune room is our favorite neighborhood bar! The owner and bartenders are great and extremely friendly. They always have a great selection of beers and the prices are very reasonable. They don’t serve food, but you can bring food in — Popeyes is down the street and is a favorite, or you can call Simple Bar and they’ll make you food and walk it down.
Neighborhood bar with a good variety of cans. Had a couple of great DJs on Friday night.

Classic, slept-on neighborhood bar with a dive mentality yet a skylight and no bar stickiness. Sometimes for locals, sometimes for nearby commuters. I’ve yet to experience DJ-fueled nightlife, but a great late afternoon pit stop.
