I worked with Nero to host my company’s holiday party and it was so great working with them! The food was delicious and they have a fully stocked bar with great drinks. The owner and manager were very accommodating and made the night so easy and stress free. I would definitely host an event here again or come back for a happy hour.

This review is for Sabina, the speakeasy underneath Nero. Coming in was pretty cool, the door looks like a continuation of the brick wall. Once inside, the venue is intimate, quaint, and dark with loud club music playing. The staff was friendly enough and interestingly dressed… we appeared to be in a swinger’s club based on everything we had seen and experienced thus far.
Their cocktail list was rather small and they also didn’t seem to have much in stock in the way of rum or other items we sought. Very few of the cocktails listed appealed to me, so I chose one on a whim and it was so sickly sweet that I actually felt sick after drinking it. We ultimately just were one-and-done here and headed out.
The vibe was great, but that was about it.

Very cute place for drinks, but very loud. Service was good, but they were playing Gladiator movies on this big tv screen upstairs, so as I was trying to enjoy my drink I was watching brutally violent and bloody fighting, and scenes with piles of dead bodies. Kinda ruined the vibe.

Nero in DC is a gem!! It was warm, intimate, and full of heart. We went on a night out so we didn’t have any food but the bartenders were so sweet, danced with us, and even remade a spilled drink without hesitation. Metí, the team manager, and Val were lovely, and the owner (who was also the DJ!) kept the vibe perfect all night. We came early when it was quiet but still didn’t want to leave it only got better as the place filled up. Truly one of the best, most genuine nightlife experiences I’ve had in DC.
