Reliably excellent. The cheese and onion appetizer (really a deconstructed French onion soup) was wonderful. Very good bread. Branzino was good but not special. Fabulous service.
Food was good but nothing special. Service was extremely slow and ordered appetizer was never delivered.
Excellent food. Strangest wine list I have ever seen...mostly from Australia but very drinkable. 50% off bottles on Wednesdays but I was unable to convince them that since was Wednesday in Australia, that should suffice.
Neighborhood gem! It is the first time in weeks that I have been to a restaurant where one could have a quiet conversation.
We ate outside, the tables were adequately spaced apart and it was not very noisy. The food was good but the big challenge was the food took a very long time to come out.
Food was delicious as always, service was delightful. Very accommodating and welcoming restaurant. We ate outside on a lovely evening.
The food was great. I had the filet medallions and they were amazing. Tomato and burrata was fantastic too. Our server was sweet and attentive.
The service is what stood out to us here. Every interaction with an employee was outstanding. The appetizers were also great, and had us very excited for our main courses, yet the dinners were only ok unfortunately.
There's a reason why Tom Sietsema from the Washington Post loves this place. This is a real neighborhood gem! The restaurant has been around since 1986, but renovated in 2021, so it feels very new. Our meals were delicious (Surf & Turf and Creamy Creole Shrimp Fettuccine). Highly recommend!
Minus one star for the credit card surcharge.
It's a fine dining restaurant, can't expect us to bring rolls of cash around these days. It is not fair on prices to other restaurants that do not charge it, especially on the restaurant week menu.
Otherwise... it was a lovely experience!
A great atmosphere in the dining room upstairs, cozy and elegant.
The restaurant week menu was still available, with a great selection from their standard menu.
I enjoyed the salmon tartar, the burrata, and the scallops (which were very delicious). The kale paella is very good. I recommend adding a protein (if u are not looking for a vegetarian option).
Good chocolate dessert.
Great espresso martinis.
Good service

Really enjoyed the place. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and welcoming. A great experience overall
New Heights have reached New Lows! When I arrived at 6:00 PM I did not see a server on the patio so I went inside and asked the Only bartender if there was service on the patio? He confirmed. The patio has a dead tree, dirty & I believe broken string lights, plastic flowers in a couple of the flower boxes, dirty cushions , plastic flower on the table, an all around unappealing setting. After I walked up a flight of steps on the absolutely dirtiest carpet to examine the dining room I decided the fresh air on the patio was best. We received a glass of water I asked twice for a cup of ice & the menus. We quickly discovered the menus were different. After waiting 20 minutes my husband went inside to request service. at 6:25 our drinks arrived. They were perfect. We immediately ordered dinner assuming another long wait would occur. A rather long discussion occurred about the French Chablis whether it was available or not. I went inside again and pleaded with the Only bartender to look for the Chablis as he indicated the restaurant was short staffed. Before the end of the meal I had to go inside several more times for service. A fellow diner referred to self service. I will not have sufficient characters to explain the enter 2 hours of events. The food was very good ! The restaurant has serious management issues and I will not return. I hope the chef knows why guests are not returning.
Nice place to go for a quiet dinner. Parking around there is getting tougher. This is a place where you need to be careful what you order, some dishes are better than other. Steaks are cut way too thin, for example.
Quiet and intimate. Great for a peaceful meal out.
