New Heights Restaurant

For decades, the food and service at New Heights has set the standard for others to follow. Restaurant Week was no exception.

We found New Heights on Restaurant Week list and are very glad we did. The food was very good and service was fine.

My Restaurant Week ribeye was surprisingly thick and large. Tasty. Only negative note was that I later realized that the Broccolini had been forgotten.

We went to the new heights bar at 5:30 for the happy hour. The bar has a great atmosphere with a wonderful bar tender. I had Purple Rain, a cocktail I love, which I probably would have had just for the name.

I really enjoyed the dining experience and this is a very elegant location with good quality.

The waiter was very nice, very kind. The restaurant especially carpets need a major makeup, they're old, soiled and smell. And the food was of the same kind - the amount of oil that went into my paella would've been sufficient to feel a bottle if I were to squeeze that rice. Left me hungry and quite frustrated with the experience.

The service was excellent from the moment we walked in through departure. A perfect martini started things and a very broad, affordable wine list was a nice surprise. To start, the tuna tacos were excellent and the octopus was flavorful, but a bit undercooked. The halibut and the branzino were both good choices. Five stars because the great service more than made up for four-star food. Overall, it's a great value. Definitely worth it if you're in the neighborhood.

The food was terrific; we took the mezza approach. The tuna poke mini tacos are worth going back for. The manager was very gracious and greeted us and then checked back that all was well Why not a 5? Service was a little spotty The biggest negative was the website says Valet parking, which as 2 folks in their 70's with rain imminent, was desirable. Got there to no valet and was told we had to use the Valet across the street at the Omni. It wasn't far but would be better for this info to be on the website so we could have planned.

New Heights is a fabulous restaurant, with excellent food and service and a varied menu. My husband and I had the wonderful oysters as an appetizer and we both had the duck confit, which was the best that we have ever eaten. We have always had excellent meals at this restaurant. New Heights is one of the few restaurants where you can hear what your dinner partners are saying. The decor is attractive and inviting. Although parking is limited right near the restaurant, there is plenty of street parking in the residential neighborhood a few blocks away and the restaurant is not far from a subway stop.

New Heights is always a great choice for excellent food in a relaxing setting, with great service as well. They also have a nice patio when the weather allows, and a hopping bar. It's one of our standbys when we visit DC.

I met a dear friend there for dinner. We just loved it. The menu was unique, but familiar. It took the soft turns around food you would expect to be on a Washington menu and gave it a little twist. The cocktails were incredible. She is in from Los Angeles but I live here. I will be going back with other friends. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was a pleasure to be served so nicely and thoughtfully in such a pretty place where we could TALK and hear ourselves. Thank you!

Kateryna the waitress is phenomenal, she took care of us and went above and beyond!
The food was amazing, the surf and turf steak was 10/10, as well as the Picanha steak dish. The staff are lovely, the vibes are lovely, and I will definitely eat here again when I’m back in town.
