I had a great experience here. I found the doorman to be friendly and welcoming. There's a $10 cover to get in. The live band playing was excellent! Very talented group of people. I love that they play old school and new music. The crowd is mostly young white college age. I didn't drink here because I had drinks from the previous places I went that night so I'm unable to speak about the bar experience. I would definitely come back to hear the band.

They charged $15 dollars to get in. The band was ok but the singer was awful. He couldn't carry a tune at all. There were white people everywhere and I prefer more diversity. The only people of color was the band, the people that worked there and myself and friends. The bartender poured me a drink and it was literally half a shot. I switched bartenders and went with the black chick with locs and she made my drink much stronger. I hope they change bands and it's not always the same because i could have forgiven everything but the guy singing was just awful although he wouldn't know because there were drunk people dancing all over the place smh

We went to see several live bands in person when trying to hire one for our wedding this past September. After seeing them at the Vegas Lounge, we hired the Out of Town Blues Band and could not have been happier with their performance on our wedding day. Justin and the band were great to work with throughout the process, even adapting when we switched from a tented venue to indoors, and going out of their way to come and see the space to make it work. They were also very reasonably priced for the quality of what they put out. On the day itself, they played songs that we and our guests all loved - a great range that kept the party going the entire reception! I can't say enough good things about this band, especially the fact that through lots of changes during the wedding planning process, I fully trusted that Justin and the band had our backs and would make the day special and they really came through! I highly recommend them for a wedding, birthday party, or any special occasion when you want a great band that will help everyone have a great time!!

The neighborhood has gentrified and changed drastically over the years with high rise condos snuggling up against 3 sides of the old brick skin of the New Vegas Lounge. But this iconic home of rhythm and blues politely remains steadfast in its resistance to change. The house band effortlessly churns out jazz, Motown R&B and blues as it has done for years. Jackie, the smiling bartender is the granddaughter of Dr. Blues the founder of this joint in 1971. Tony, the doorman, keeps the order out front while folks young and old, from all walks of life enter the door into a treasured place where time stands still. Special places like New Vegas Lounge are getting more and more scarce, so give thanks that Dr Blues' legacy is still in good hands. Come out and enjoy this gem. We should all be thankful that this legend lives on.

Great place for the blues. The outside facet is red hot and so is the music. The blues has been apart of of Americana since before it's founding. Many of our fore father's where either slaves or slave owner's. Out of this history of oppression came what we know as the blues.@ it's heart the blues is a historic narrative of the African American's struggle to survive in a inhuman excistence not of their own choosing.Any one can feel the blues but only those who's historical narrative founded and grounded in slavery can clame it as their own. That trial by fire is the badge that can never be appropreated. That being said:"What happen's in the New Las Vegas Lounge stay's in the Lounge. Thank you very much.Viva Las Vegas.BoomBlack has just left the building.

Great band but the clientele doesn't do it justice. If you're a college students this is your spot for a good time. If you're looking for a good jazz bar, this isn't that.
