This was my 3rd time coming to Norma’s and we have gotten the same thing each time. For context, our visits have been about 2-3 months apart. Unfortunately, the consistency hasn’t been there with the food. Staff has been great everytime. 1st time- great!. Everything looked and tasted good. 2nd time- ok. 3rd time- hate to say it but terrible!! We were so disappointed in the presentation and the taste of the food. The Gilbert’s Shrimp & Grits was soupy and runny and the presentation looked a mess. Also got the waffle and four wings. The chicken was overcooked, looked and tasted burnt on parts and we didn’t eat it because of the taste. The waffle was the only thing that we wanted to even eat and finished. Total waste of $32. Would have given 2 stars for the food but I hate to do that based on one really bad experience so the 3 stars takes all the experiences into consideration. I want to continue to support local black owned business but hoping that the standard and quality they started out with returns or else I won’t be able to. Happy to update the review the next time I go to see if there is an improvement.
Parking: There are only a few parking spaces right in front of the building, but since your order is generally ready quickly there isn’t much issue with parking.

My FIRST time ordering and eating here and I must say I should have tried it sooner but considering the area it’s in I was a little hesitant. Disregard the location this is a nice spot to get food from im definitely gonna eat here again ❤️

This is my second visit to this establishment and the service just gets better and better. I hope you're around forever NORMAS!!

Let’s give this black owned business 5 stars. Walking into this spot is so welcoming. The food is delicious and fresh. This restaurant brings warmth to Minnesota Ave. Norma’s is definitely a household name and they have earned that.

1st time visiting. The lady taking orders seemed annoyed that I ordered online. Almost felt discouraged from picking up my paid order. The potatoes and salmon cake were dry, over salted, and not fresh. I appreciate the eggs, and the parking however.

Absolutely delicious! Amazing service and great staff, this place may not look like much from the outside but inside is a lovely little bungalow selling amazing food! 10/10 I would go again
The food from here was amazing! Everything is carry out, but the menu was great! I got a veggie omelette with potatoes as a gluten free and vegetarian option. My partner got a breakfast platter. Looking forward to coming back!
Vegetarian options: Had a few vegetarian options.
Dietary restrictions: Had a few gluten free options but nothing guaranteed to have no cross contamination. Pretty clean kitchen that gave me confidence with my sensitivity.

I like that this place is Black owned but I rather Keith and Sons. The portion of food that was given to me and my husband was horrible. 1 piece of bacon on the whole sandwich and not even a scoop of eggs. Do better.

Ordered platter and my order was incorrectly. Had to go back and get it corrected. Then I get home and open up my food and there is a hair in my ham. Never ordering food from here again. Check your food before eating.

Came there once before , and the service was great I came back again and what I may assume is the owners had a very nasty aura about them , doesn’t seem like the cashiers that were there are even there anymore and the food wasn’t as good as it was the first time around. So disappointed
