I was really looking forward to finally trying O-Ku, but unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience. They were out of the sticky ribs I came for, which was fine, but when the chef said it would take 45 minutes just for sushi, I was shocked! I’ve never heard of sushi taking that long. I ended up settling for the charred broccolini which came out cold, and the hangar steak instead, and steak portions were small. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Nice atmosphere tho!

The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, and flavorful. We ordered the edamame, spicy tuna roll, snow king roll, tuna tataki roll, wagyu nigiri, harvest roll, wagyu skewers, and split two bottles of wine. Every single item was delicious, and surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable for the quality.
Service-wise, our server was respectful and polite, though the vibe was a bit off. It almost felt like we were bothering him at times. That said, it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience.
While the city itself didn’t feel very warm or welcoming, I’d definitely come back if I find myself in DC again. Highly recommend for sushi lovers in the area!

Sushi was not very good rice almost raw in some spots, no vinegar, uni had the most off putting flavor for the whole table I’ve ever had, not even that bitter note that occurs sometimes. Rest of the fish was mostly fine. Service was good and sake selection is decent for dc. For the price of that omakase I would have expected much better for the actual sushi items.

Thank you so much to all the staff that took a great care of us from the employee at the front desk to our server. It was a birthday dinner and the table was set up with a birthday framed poster and a bouquet of flower. We definitely had a great time and great food. 10/10 I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great dinner with great atmosphere.

They were super helpful when I was late due to traffic. They also had beautiful flowers for the birthday girl!

This place is delicious. I’ve been a few times and recently enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar where you can see the chefs making the rolls, extra fun. The food is fresh and flavorful. The staff is lovely and the happy hour specials are great. Come and come often.
