Visited during the end of cherry blossom season. It was absolutely beautiful. It was not warm enough for the upper floor to be fully opened, but all the firepots were lit, and you could easily move inside and out. The food was very good and elevated the experience. It's rare that you get a perfect mixture of ambiance, great service, and excellent food. I will definitely be back.

Every time I try to go to this place with friends, the hosts prove themselves to be the most miserable and insufferable people, and the restaurant is always “at capacity” or “transitioning” despite being completely empty. Whoever manages this place is truly doing an awful job at running it into the ground and it won’t be long before it’s fully out of business.

We went here around lunch time on a Friday. Didn't seem too busy, but were asked if we had reservations, and we did not for a party of 5. We were sat a few minutes later. Prices are to be expected at the wharf. You're going to spend $30-$40/pp for food and non-alcoholic drinks. I'm not sure the price is worth it considering the portions. The service was interesting. Our "main" server was very nice and patient. Then you have 6 other people going around, picking up plates that we still need, filling your water, and other random stuff. Our appetizers came out the at the same time as our main meal. When they came out, they just said what the meal was and waited for one of us to tell them it was ours. For the price and this type of restaurant, whoever brings out the food should know where it goes. The kicker was the disingenuous 3.5% service fee. It was not disclosed on their website menu and I didn't see it on the physical menu. Aside from the bait and switch pricing, it goes against DC AG guidance on these types of anti-consumer fees. I took away a star rating specifically for this. RAISE YOUR PRICES, GET RID OF THESE FEES!In the end, was it a terrible experience? No. Will I recommend it to anyone or go back? No.

Ask to be seated along the back so you have a decent view of the water and cherry trees. We had lunch and the food was amazing. We also had two drinks apiece. The “MELE E NOCI... ($15) Jelzin Apple, Orgeat, Lemon, ancho, Olive Oil, Soda” tasted like a creamy lemonade and I recommend you try one. The merlot/shiraz wine was also very good and worth the $16. My girlfriend had two cosmos, and they were better than I can make it home (although that might not be so much ?)

Very friendly and accommodating staff, waitress was great. Food was delicious and well prepared. Third floor music was a little loud and not dining appropriate. Although on the pricier side I would definitely dine here again. Would recommend.

Overall not a good experience for my second time at this place. The first time I was there was for a corporate event. It was great and I was hoping I would have the same experience with a group of friends. However, that was not the case. When we arrived for our reservation, they immediately seat us in an outdoor space when I had reserved indoor. We mentioned this to the waitress and she said she had a table inside. That was not the case. She just brought us back to the hostess table and could only offer us a table upstairs. I don't see the point in making a reservation when they will not honor it. My friends were not impressed with the food either. Overall, would not recommend unless you come for a private event that's paying them a lot for the service and the attention.

We hadn’t had the best day sightseeing and were tired and defeated when we arrived. We were seated by an incredibly nice hostess in a beautiful corner spot on the second story. We were overlooking the water and there was a perfect breeze coming through. Immediate perk up! Our sever Michael S. was wonderful; attentive and fun to talk to. Both in our party enjoyed our dinners tremendously. I ordered tagliatelle bolognese and ate almost every bite. My daughter had the meatball appetizer for her dinner and was equally as happy. We even stayed after dinner for coffee to enjoy the ambiance and draw out a wonderful dinner even longer. Wish we lived here so we could come back. Thank you to all for a great evening!

I have gone here before and decided to go back because of the gluten free options. I guess because I went for lunch and not dinner it was a totally different experience. That did not excuse the slow service since it wasn't even busy. Will never go back again.

It was good food and service. Nothing really unique or out-of-this world but definitely solid.Kid-friendliness: Can make plain noodles with either red or white sauce for the kids

I was out visiting the Jefferson monument and ended up in the area and found the Officina at The Wharf. The staff was nice, the service was fast, and the food was really good. I was told my meal (Buccatini all'Amatriciana) was the owner's favorite and it did not disappoint! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Our server was amazing! She explained the whole menu to us and gave great advice on what to order. We ordered the arancini, one of her recommendations, which was superb. All the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. It wasn't too noisy and the ambiance was very nice. Great dinner spot!

Over all the restaurant is good. Food was good but not exceptional. Service was excellent. But, unfortunately the “two hours food experience” is simply a lousy idea. I hate a feeling that you are kicked out with rush. If I go to restaurant, have good company and pay pretty manly bill, I want to enjoy as long as I want. I don't want a feeling that you are kicked out before you are ready. The most probably it was the first and last time I eat here.
