wonderful group of people. I came in from Arizona and I left my bags while I went sightseeing. then I came back to get my bags, charge my phone and got a pizza with mushrooms. the pizza is delicious and I will eat the rest when I get to my airbnb. thanks so much.

Amazing sandwiches but they do not sell the ones that sold out! I do not know why but definitely ask for the Italian one and hope it comes back by popular demand.

Well, so after missing our train we needed a quick spot to refuel and to reconvene. So we are planning on trying out this local spot. While we haven’t gone here yet these are our thoughts based on our optimistic expectations. Here’s to proving us right 😉

Our family loves to visit whenever we come to DC. It is a real neighborhood place nestled in the heart of the city. It offers a great variety of unique treats, and the wood-fired pizza is excellent!

While visiting Gallaudet University, we stumbled on a hidden gem—Old City Market and Oven—and it quickly became a favorite.
This place has a warm, eclectic vibe with live plants, a cozy atmosphere, and a welcoming downstairs space perfect for relaxing, studying, or grabbing a bite. On Saturday nights, they host wine tastings and turn out around 100 pizzas—such a fun scene.
We had to come back for breakfast—and it absolutely delivered.
I had the Sunday-only eggs benedict with smoked salmon, crafted by Chef Francisco Hernandez (also head chef at Elizabeth’s in D.C.). It was beautifully executed and downright divine. The bacon? Six thick-cut slices—juicy, peppery, and perfectly cooked. Coffee was fresh and on point.
Bonus: it’s pet-friendly (dogs get treats!), and it sits in a charming, upscale neighborhood.
A true hidden gem—don’t miss it.

Wow, this place is fire!! We came in and met Kevin, he was awesome as we told him we were new to the neighborhood and he told us to come on Friday nite for pizza and wine. We did. My partner and I are vegan and it was absolutely fantastic with meatless options and super melty dairy free cheese! We had a great welcoming experience overall and loved the vibe!
