We did take-out and the food was fabulous. Perfect and plentiful. The vegetarian/vegan options were great (loved the red red). Also family loved the goat stew!

This was the first time I had the opportunity to try West African cuisine. It was incredible. I got jollof rice, wakye, plantains, and the kutumeri + egusi with fufu. Everything was so rich, flavorful and filling. I'm sad there isn't anywhere like it where I'm from, but this is definitely a go-to spot for me whenever I'm in the area.

Everything we ordered was delicious! Would highly recommend! Some of the best takeout we've had in a while. Don't sleep on the vegetarian options.
I had the chicken over jollof rice with the roasted corn salad and tahini sauce.
It was all absolutely delicious!

Too expensive to be this inconsistent….originally went from 5 to one star because the first and second experience was night and day smh idk if it was a different cook but it was terrible and complete waste of time with the chicken undercooked. Then they are using gmo chicken and a weird dough calling it fufu smh never again

Had the blackened chicken over jolof rice w/ salad to go, and it was amazing. Generous portions and amazing taste.
Absolutely delicious food. We tried the chicken stew with jollof rice, red red, peanut soup with fufu, and roasted corn salad. 10/10!

Great spot for lunch. Flavorful, spicy, tasty, and spot on. Great all around. The chicken was wonderfully crispy but also really tender and juicy. I would recommend and will come back next time I’m in town!

Visited and loved the Anacostia location. The move to H St is huge win for the neighborhood. Great food!

I live across the street from this place on H Street and you can hardly tell it's open or there is anything there...but we decided to try it out one more get for takeout and it's delicious!
I ordered the vegan peanut soup with fufu. The soup was super flavorful.not a huge fan of the fufu but it was fun to try. Will order rice next time.
Husband ordered the goat stew with rice which was also great! Meat was fall off the bone tender, and the spices were super flavorful.
Would order again!

A fantastic new addition to H Street! A true neighborhood spot with friendly service, flavorful dishes, and interesting drinks (hibiscus, ginger). The menu has something for everyone; I’m not vegan, but tried the Red Red and will absolutely be adding this to my regular take-out rotation. As others have noted, the only downside is that the enclosed seating area is not air conditioned, but can imagine that when the weather cools down, it’ll be a cozy little spot to hang. Looking forward to stopping in again soon!
