Extremely disappointing experience, would give zero stars if possible. From the moment we arrived, we encountered poor service and inconsistent policies. The bouncers were unprofessional and demanded an extra $20 cover charge right at midnight, which felt like a money grab rather than a legitimate policy. The bartenders were rude and dismissive. I was charged $38 for drinks that my friend purchased moments later for only $29, when I brought this up and asked for a refund, they refused and acted as if I was the problem. The entry policy also made no sense. My girlfriend was charged an entry fee, while my friend’s girlfriend was let in for free “because girls get in free,” according to the staff, yet other women in our group were also charged. There was no consistency, just random and unfair treatment. Overall, the atmosphere was chaotic, the staff were disrespectful, and the pricing was shady at best. I’m doing a favor to anyone reading this, don’t even think about stepping foot there. Save your money and your night, go anywhere else. I’m officially banning myself from this place and will take my business elsewhere!!

Strand for sure has the best layout of any DC nightclub. I've been here multiple times and it's a different vibe depending on the weekend but all the parties I've been to have been ones to remember. From dancehall to house music to rap/r&b, Strand has it all. If you want to have a great night out with your girls this is the place to be!

This was the best night club DC experience I’ve had in a while. Strand is a newer nightclub but already feels like a staple in the DC nightlife scene. The music was fire all night, and the energy from the crowd was unmatched. I didn’t get a VIP table this time, but the bottle service looked really well-run and I’ll definitely be reserving one next time!
What I love about this place is that it works for a wild night out or something more chill, depending on the crowd. I’ve been here a few times and every time feels different in a good way. It’s one of those nightclubs in Washington DC that actually delivers.
