Some fantastic and clever vegan options taking influence from a variety of global cooking styles while painstakingly limiting to locally sourced ingredients. Service was incredible, and the atmosphere was surprisingly casual. Some particularly strong mushroom options and one oyster on offer for those wanting it. Great vegan food (except the oyster - great but not vegan) and one of the best vegan restaurants in the country. They do such a great job with their flavors, mixing what is local and fresh that day/week into dishes that are nutritious and delicious. They also know their wines - have had great wines to complement our meal. Can see why they earned their Michelin star - will come back to DC in part just to come back to this restaurant.

A fantastic experience! Such a great ambiance and friendly staff. I sat at the chef’s counter and the service was a delight and personable. The meal was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve had recently. I never knew a salad, celery root or a shiitake cookie could be so flavorful. With a James Beard award and Michelin Star, Oyster Oyster is definitely worth a try.
