There was a fight snafu with service at the start/we were overlooked while people seated after us were waited on. As soon as we brought it to their attention the service was excellent and attentive, and they graciously picked up one of our appetizers. The food was out of this world. The warm hummus was sooo delicious!! The dishes were imaginative, beautiful spiced and presented. A really wonderful dining experience!

The food and service were excellent, and the space has a great mix of gallery and inviting atmosphere that is refreshing for DC. Each plate brought new flavors for a lovely meal that never got boring. Each plate was perfect to split between two diners.

There are such a great vibe to this restaurant and everything we had to eat was absolutely fantastic. Make sure you carve out space for the dips ahead of your entrée. The lamb was amazing and I probably could've just ordered a few more of those for my main meal...

Service was slow which is expected for newer restaurants, however, food and drinks were really good so that alone makes me excited to go back and see what tweaks are made! Sat pretty much as soon as we walked in from our reservation. Would recommend!

No bottomless food option for brunch. Items were a little pricey and not very tasty. Bottomless brunch cocktails were underwhelming. Fried rice and black bean hummus was delicious. Service was great!

Energetic atmosphere at brunch, very good small plates. We had the roast carrot dip w naan, beef shishlik, charred prawns, duck confit benedict, and Liege waffle. The carrot dip, beef, and waffle were especially tasty. They have art by local artists for sale on the walls, giving an interesting visual component to the restaurant experience. Two small criticisms: The coffee was strong enough to use in batteries, and for a party of two, the small table meant that ordering any more than two dishes at a time resulted in frustrating dish juggling. We will definitely return with a larger group.

Perfect spot for lunch with a friend or dinner with a group. Sharable appetizers make for a more intimate dining experience. Food was great and service was too.

Such a cute spot and within walking distance. The place has artwork all over which you can purchase if you like what you see. We went during happy hour, I had the sangria which was so good! Black bean hummus was literally the best hummus I've ever had and the bread it came with was so good. I was not a fan of the waffle, the flavor just wasn't for me. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask multiple times for refills, but everyone was nice. I'll definitely be back for more black bean hummus!

All of the food was delicious and loved the overall ambiance. Our server was very nice, but when we ordered 5 items we specifically asked if they would space them out for us and she said yes. First two items showed appropriately timed out, but then items 3 and 4 showed up immediately after #2 and there was literally no space on our table. We mentioned that she had confirmed they would space things out and she said they had...obviously this is more an issue in the kitchen, but it's too bad an otherwise great experience included this annoying error. Plus the fifth item then didn't show up for 15+ minutes.

We're local to the neighborhood and were waiting to try this place. It did not disappoint. The space is beautiful, and the combo of cuisine and art made me wonder why more places didn't do this. The food was great. It was eclectic without being wildly all over the place. We had the chickpea hummus, octopus, beef shazlik, steak tartare, papaya salad, and tortellini. The right food (papaya salad) had the right heat without it being overwhelming and everything was flavorful. Staff was warm and welcoming. In terms of "little things" - The temperature of the space was perfect, noise level was enough to feel busy but easy to converse (no yelling needed!), the drinks/wine list was solid. We ordered 3 different types of wine and a lemonade at our table. The wine was the exact right temperature and they all had a very nice smooth finish. Lemonade drinker was very happy as it was fresh without being over tart or over sweet. Look forward to dining here again.

We had dinner tonight with the family and had a great time! Service was fantastic, food was great, and the staff were super friendly with recommendations/accommodations. The place was beautiful and love how they support local artists!!! We also loved how the food had great flavor. Overall a great place with great food.

Stumbled upon Palette 22 after struggling to find somewhere open on a Monday night. The food was amazing and the cocktail I got was quite good as well! All of the staff were exceptionally welcoming & friendly. While I loved everything I got, the Beef Shishlik blew me away! Definitely get it. The Beet Broani was probably my second favorite if you're looking for a meatless option. The space is filled with unique art (all available for purchase) which is something you don't usually find outside of coffee shops. Great idea! I saw they also have a happy hour with discounted food & drinks which I'll definitely be back for!

Hands down best brunch I have had in the DMV. The small plate set up and variety of different cuisines allows you to try so many different things (I highly recommend the waffle, the beef skewer, and the crispy potatoes). The bottomless drinks deal was great as well, with well executed brunch cocktails and Sangria. The vibe of the place was great and the art on the walls was so cool, you are essentially eating in an art gallery where everything is for sale.Definitely recommend and am looking forward to warmer weather to check out the rooftop terrace.

One word: WOW. Wow to the concept, wow to the food and drinks, wow to the ambiance and W O W to the service. Palette 22 is easily surpassing as one of my new favorites in DC. Starting with the concept, I am blown away by the meshing of cuisine and art in this establishment. Not only do you feel immersed in an art gallery setting, but during my visit for a Sunday brunch there were multiple live artist painting on site. What an amazing touch for an art lover. The flavors and textures experienced in the dishes I tried were unheard of. I love that the menu is a melting pot of global cuisine, making for a nice tour around the world on your palate. I had the Achiote Pork Tostada with a side of Crispy Smashed Criolla Potatoes to start. Both were amazing, presented beautifully, and packed with flavor. I couldn't stop there, so at the recommendation of my server I ordered the Charred Prawns, and again.. wow. The prawns were cooked perfectly. The sauce, chili oil and what seemed like an herbed butter were an amazing combination. I opted into the bottomless brunch and was very satisfied with the Tuscan Red Sangria, but also loved getting to try multiple cocktails from the menu. The servers were very attentive, knowledgeable about the space and menu items, and made awesome recommendations. I was able to talk to the owner and manager while there and also got a sweet little offering as a local guest. Highly recommend and I will be coming back for sure!

I stopped by here on Saturday and enjoyed the experience. The weather was bad so I wasn't surprised it wasn't busy when I arrived. I was the only patron at the bar the entire time there which is rare for DC. The bar service was great. The Prawns weren't special at all, especially for $21. The same can be said for the Octopus. At $37.22, I do think the bottomless drinks are also overpriced. The atmosphere here is pretty cool with all the artwork, which is also for sale. I don't know if I'll ever return as I'd rather go to Pastis than here, but you never know.
