Went for the 2nd time to renew the experience. I asked a drink with tequila. It tasted everything other than tequila. I told the server it was not what I wanted. She did not offer anything better.

Excellent food and great drink menu. The staff was wonderful as well.

What a treat. We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first visit to Union Market in years, we recently heard great things about the Pastis NYC location and figured we might as well try getting a table! We were not disappointed. The staff was super attentive and welcoming and they were able to sit us within 5 minutes. atmosphere of this location is absolutely great and it's very busy lively not too loud while decorated it could be a bit overstimulating for some but for me it's the perfect vibe.

The seating was a bit packed in some places but there were plenty of bigger tables for larger groups to be seated without a problem. The bar was also massive but was completely full when we got there.

We shared the leek vinaigrette with the French onion soup and we were pleasantly surprised by the leek vinaigrette it was probably our favorite item of the meal. The French onion soup was extremely savory and more on the salty side but the delicious layer of cheese kind of helped mellow out that saltiness.

for our main entrée my wife and I shared the famous burger and it was absolutely divine 10 out of 10 recommend the burger I ordered a medium and it came out slightly more rare than I expected but it was still delicious and the patties were perfectly formed. the burger itself was very nicely dressed and it wasn't the least bit messy.

Pretty disappointing - based off location I would have expected a diverse open environment. Its status quo at best!

Had such a nice meal at Pastis. It’s buzzy and charming in that classic French bistro way — crowded but in a good, lively kind of way. The food was simple, comforting, and perfectly done, and the service kept everything easy and relaxed. It’s one of those places that just makes you happy to be there.

Kinda overpriced food that’s just fine. $10 for a side of fries, $15 for 3 little potato pierogis was WILD. Service was good

The escargot with the bread was amazing and the fried articokes and onion soup, but the fries were cold.

Overall it was ok but misses on the mains resulted in a lower score.. the escargot was delicious, but the pierogies and lamb steak really left something to be desired. Unfortunately the vegetarian artichoke main also lacked flavour.

Spaghetti bolognese seasoned well, cheeseburger they forgot the cheese and glass of beaujolais. Quick service. Friendly waiter. Parking hard to find.

Pastis DC really captures the charm of a Parisian brasserie. The space is beautiful with warm lighting and classic décor, and the energy makes it feel lively and fun. We loved the mussels with fries, the steak haché, and a scallop crudo that was fresh and flavorful. Cocktails were well balanced and the wine list had some nice French options. Service was friendly and helpful, though it can get loud when the room is full. Overall, a great spot for French classics in Union Market — already excited to go back.

The look and feel of the restaurant was really nice, having an overall aesthetic of a parisian metro. The food was also really tasty, we were a party of two and we got the French onion soup, Escargot, steak tartare, and beef bourguignon. We enjoyed each dish but the experience was a bit over shadowed by the service, each employee we encountered just seemed cold and the restaurant itself was unwelcoming. As much as we enjoyed the meal, this put a damper on the experience as a whole.

First time coming to pastis, overall it’s fantastic the atmosphere and friendly staff make this place. The bar steak is highly recommended but my only complaint is were the moules frites, not much flavor and the wine sauce tasted like straight up heated white wine. Other than that I had a great visit.

First time there, we tried 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, 3 drinks and a dessert for 2 people, everything was pretty good! We love the steak Tartare, Crispy Artichoke, Chicken Kevin and the Duck Confit, I personally like the Eiffel Sour cocktail very much. The mussels and Escargots were good but not impressive. I love their bread too, but wish they could offer it warm. Overall, great place with great food! Very similar to the traditional French style we had in France! We will be back again.
