Great spot for Sunday Brunch at Union Market. The Gruyère omelette was delicious and the escargot was the perfect balance of butter and garlic. Our server, Mo, was outstanding and the hostess (Trish) was welcoming and charming! Cheers!

Dinner at Pastis was good, but I won’t try the duck confit again. This is was my second visit to Pastis. The onion soup and calamari were very good. My friend’s steak frites were excellent. The crème brûlée was great. But I feel sorry for the poor duck that gave up its life for the duck confit I was served. Duck confit if supposed to be rich in flavor with meat that falls off the bone at the slightest touch. This was a tough duck leg that resisted most of my efforts to cut off a few bites of meat. It was not good. Oh, well.

10 out of 10 recommend. The food was amazing! We had the escargots to start — delish!! Had the braised lamb and branzino for our entrees and both dishes were absolutely delicious. We ended with the sticky toffee pudding and meringue pie for dessert and they were also very, very good. Cocktails and wine were also great. For such great food the prices are also low compared to other DC restaurants. We will be adding this restaurant to our frequent spots.

It’s my first time here, and let me tell you, our server Lauren was absolutely fantastic! She made some great suggestions, and the escargot was to die for. The beef Bourguignon was also a delicious choice.
I'm going to think about the chicken Kiev until I make it back there. So good. Also loved the tarte for dessert. Amazing atmosphere and perfect service.

Food and ambiance are generally good, but the poor rating stems from terrible customer experience due to unethical staff. We were the last table at the restaurant, and a friend left his credit card at the table by accident when we left around 11:20PM. Within less than an hour, someone had already placed fraudulent charges on his card. This could have only been someone from the staff at Pastis. I would have expected more respectable behavior from the staff.
