The man at the counter who waited on me was excellent. He was so helpful, patient and explained items for me with enthusiasm of the job. The coffee and croissant I decided on were excellent too. I bought two Paul coffee cups and box of macarons to go and they carefully wrapped them for me as it was raining out.

The coffee is always perfect, the pastries are incredible, the sandwiches are out of this world BUT what I love the most about Paul are the people that work there. They’re so nice and friendly and just the coolest. I’m always excited to walk in and cut it up with them before taking my coffee and starting the work day. Especially Nahom, he’s the man.

Came here with a party of 7 on december 28th and ordered Eggs Bennedict and it literally took 28 minutes for a scrambled egg, a piece of bacon and a small bread with salad. Servers are rude and treat you awful when you ask why its taking so long… im never coming back

Right by the Warner theater, a little pricey by the pastries are worth it

Atmosphere and service have always been top notch. I like holding my business coffees here because it has an elevated feeling over the typical fast casual coffee and lunch spots.

Chocolate Moelleux (French brownie) is rich but slightly dry. Same to the lemon cake. Cheese danish (cream cheese filling) is pretty good. Coffee is standard. Overall, the quality is not bad but also not specifically impressive. Plenty of seating area - seeing some people working in the store.

I had lunch here in October 2021. I had a mozzarella and tomato sandwich on a baguette which was very good. The restaurant was not busy so I ate inside.

I had the strawberry tart and it was delicious. Employees were wearing masks and following health and safety protocol.

This place is a mess! After dining, I wanted to use the toilet. The toilet doors had a code, so I went to the counter to get it. I was told that the code was at the bottom of my receipt, which I had discarded. A woman behind the counter, asked the young man who waited on me if I had purchased lunch--ham and cheese sandwich, chips, and tea--he said 'yes." The woman starts ranting about how the staff needs to protect themselves. I agreed with her and asked for the code again. She refused to give it to me. I found a discarded receipt on the counter, got the code from it used the toilet--neither of which had paper towels. I asked to speak to a manager about the staff behavior, and it turns out that the rude woman--plump and with locs--was the manager. Won't be going to this location any more. The staff at the Farragut Square is much nicer.

It was my favorite bakery to visit in Paris. Imagine my surprise to find that it is exactly the same here in the states. The same wonderful items and quality. I hope that Paul will thrive in the US from “sea to shining sea!”

We ordered a box of macaroons, a ham and cheese quiche, and each had a mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich. We highly recommend each of these items. The macaroons (pistachio and vanilla bean in particular) were absolutely amazing. We'll definitely have the mozzarella and prosciutto sandwiches and the quiche again too- they both had such delicious flavors. All around, cannot wait to return and try more. Highly recommended for a quick pit stop snack when you're near the National Mall.

Want to give them 4 stars, but service is atrocious. With only four people ahead of us, we waited 20 minutes to place an order, and then they gave us the wrong items. Can tell some employees work extremely hard and are picking up the slack of others creating a chaotic environment. If you have time and patience, the croissants are delish.

Small, clean. Food is fresh and good portion size

Decided to try this place after seeing the menu online. It is very close to my hotel. We placed our order sat down. They took our food to another table. We could see and hear the discussion, as well as see the other customers touching the plates. When they finally figured out it was the wrong table they tried to bring it straight to our table, claiming the other customers hadn't touched it. Nope. Then, when they remade it, the server tried to take it to another wrong table until the manager yelled at him. Listened to them get the order wrong at the table next to us. The salmon eggs Benedict was delicious, as was my partner's omlette.

Great and friendly service!! Hands down best bread around! Food feels like it's loved when it's made. You can taste it. If only had oil and basil to dip bread in...... Yummy....Tomato Basil soup is delicious!! Hits the spot!
