Good Coffee Near My Hotel We were staying at The Madison Hotel in May, and while I had a little coffee maker in my room, and the hotel had urns of coffee in the lobby, I wanted something more - something with character and body, and spotted the Peet’s at 1156 15th St NW, right there. Now, I can only recall having Peet’s coffee in New Orleans, but remembered it fondly - better than so very many other coffee shops. This location, did serve really good coffee, though maybe not...
I love the service and the hot chocolate! Both get better the more you go. The atmosphere is comfortable; flexible enough for me to do work or hold casual conversation. I'm here all the time!
I like Peets it's a nice compromise between compass caffe and Starbucks. It's 14th street shops of which there are two are spacious. Sit in arm chairs benches chairs with tables. Power points etc. Place to park the bike. Good coffee sandwiches and pastries. The coffee is more coffee flavoured than Starbucks. Compass coffee is slightly better but uncomfortable, a place to buy coffee and leave. You don't feel welcome. Peets has nice bathrooms and happy staff. They...
