Just got back into DC for the holidays, tried to order for either takeout or delivery, and the phone is disconnected. So sad.

Best Chinese food I have had. I have had Chinese food on cruises, in little China town in NY, in San Antonio, in Florida, all over.Especially better than P.F. Changs.P.F. Changs "Can't" compete.Peking Garden is THE BEST in my book hands down!

We just arrived in D.C. from Cali and were starving! We searched for Chinese food, and there was a menu from Peking Garden. Looked it up and Yelp and was hesitant to order with only 3 stars. Took a chance and was more than happy. They are so nice on the phone when ordering. The man who delivered was very appreciative. The food was delicious!! Recommend this one.

the spring roll was good, the general tao was ok, coating was too thick and it was premade, not very fresh. cant complaint for the price tho, will come back to tru something else.

I've only ordered from them since 1995. Everything is always fresh and perfect they are wonderful people I love them. Great old school city Chinese joint. Very fast deliveryKid-friendliness: I've known them for 3 decades they are wonderful people I love them

Got into town late and and checked into my hotel. It is -1.1c. I thought I'd take advantage of delivery, since this restaurant is nearby. Thanks to the GrubHub driver who didn't call/SMS me, my food sat on the lobby for an hour and was cold. Not the restaurant's fault, I nuked my food. The Black Bean Chicken wasn't great. More chunks of vegetables, and less chicken. Fried Wontons, even microwaved, are hard as a rock. And the Shrimp Tempura were like breaded like donuts? I have the store 3 stars since delivery was shitty. Even if the food came on time, it still would have been 3 or less.

This is my first time to order from here. It was so disappointing! The delivery was fast, however. There is a minimum order, a tip added, a fee (what is the tip for?), and DC tax - so it was $40 for one person. The shrimp toast could have been good, but it was so overcooked it almost was burned, the spring roll have virtually nothing inside of it - maybe (?) some cabbage, and the main dish, the mou shi pork was just disgusting. It was a generous amount of cabbage! The meat (?) was not recognizable as meat - it seemed to be gristle, or skin, and fat. Did not see one morsel of pork meat in the entire service. I just learned that City Lights is moving in about 2 blocks up from this Peking Garden. I hope the competition may cause some improvement, but I doubt I will ever know since I don't plan to order from Peking Garden again. What a let down.

Good no frills Chinese takeout place. No seating. Their prices are higher than the takeout menus. Plus they charge you a dollar for credit card use. They also deliver. I've tried eggplant with garlic with chicken added, beef chow fun, and now Szechuan shrimp. I like that they use a lot of vegetables and the food seems fresh.I'm just a little wary of their prices and policies because I tried to order delivery one day in the afternoon and they didn't tell me they didn't have a driver and they were going to charge me for a service without telling you... Plus the fact that the prices were more than the takeout menu prices.

Ordered delivery from them, there is a $20 minimum. The driver was about 20 mins late but it is stormy out so not really a big deal. The sesame chicken is tasty, but for the price I wish it was a larger portion. It comes with white rice. I also ordered the spare boneless ribs which are good albeit a touch under seasoned. The wonton soup is good perfect for the fall weather! The fortune cookies were sadly stale but all and all pretty good take out food for a night you don't want to cook or join the world.

I was staying at the Beacon hotel and they refused to deliver my food after saying it was a minimum $20 taking it up to $26, and pamphlet says $15. I will NEVER order from this place.

No way hard over cooked sweet and sour chien drenched in glop sauce. Over cooked and salted duck. This place is gross.
