I am so sad to say, not a great experience I’m sorry guys. I hate to write these reviews. But I did end up getting sick from the food. The staff was delightful, food is ok, but not really something I’d go back for.

Service was great and beyond exceptional. A place to try for special occasion for seafood. We had the grilled octopus and sardines for appetizers. Both are great options. We had the Connecticut version of lobster roll which came in hot. The catch of the day was a pan seared cod. It was good. The hit was the squid ink risotto. This place is great to celebrate special occasions but not for weekly or even monthly dining. Would be cost prohibitive.

A crown jewel of DC, fewer better date night spots. All of the art is hand made by the owner. She’s a gem and will take care of you as if you were her own. All details are curated down to the silverware. I highly suggest this place.

WOW! I'm a grill sardines fan and just for grins I Google grilled sardines restaurant while visiting family in DC. Pesce comes up. The menu, the pics, the location, the vibe, and grilled sardines on the menu, YES! Amazing establishment, the ambience, the historic charm, the owner is so warm and inviting, all contributed a fabulous, delicious night out. Every time I visit DC, Pesce is a must stop, if nothing else for grilled Sardines, as an appetizer. BTW, everything else on the menu is a food lover delight.

We were visiting from out of town and are so glad to have had dinner here. We came in on a Monday night to no wait. The food is outstanding, we shared a plate of the sea bream and it was filleted perfectly. The owner is so sweet and attentive as was our waitress. And the art all over the inside is well done and makes for a great atmosphere. We'll come back and visit again next time we're in town.

We had a fantastic experience at Pesce this weekend! We each got the 3-course dinner and the food and wine was all amazing. We highly recommend the bruschetta with white anchovies, shrimp ceviche, and lobster risotto. The service was also outstanding. We look forward to dining here again!

We ordered scallops it was good but the quantity was very little. We also ordered the lobster linguiny and it was very good. Overall, good food but was not worth the price.
Overall we enjoyed the experience. The place was cozy and staff were welcoming.

This was my fourth time dining at Pesce with friends in the last year and it is the most consistently wonderful experience you can have for an evening out to dinner. The atmosphere, the decor and artwork, and the food itself are reflective of the deep passion the owner, Judita Doliveira, has for her restaurant, the food she presents, and for the experience her customers have. An evening at Pesce is time well spent!!!

My wife & I just happened by as we were staying in the Washington Hilton across the street. What a wonderful meal we just enjoyed! The music, the ambience, the service were all just perfect! Next time we are in DC we will patronize this wonderful seafood restaurant again.
