My bf and I are both from NY so we’re picky about our pizza, and Pete’s is our go-to in DC!
We enjoyed lunch here yesterday with my daughter and another family. The pizza is solid, though I don't find anything distinctive about New Haven style in terms of the taste or texture (seems like a normal thin crust pizza!). I like that you can order a variety of pizzas by the slice and they have ample seating inside and put. It was a lovely afternoon so we sat outside. Also, bonus points for the natural sodas they have on tap, yum. Slight deduction that they oddly don't serve their ice cream by the scoop, you have to basically buy a pint and sort it out yourself. Strange.

I think the pizza is okay at best and The kids like. Being from Jersey the pizza and knowing Italian quality pizza the pizza didn't blow my mind. However, when I pick up for delivers the customer service is top tier the staff is always friendly . The atmosphere is always chill.

I really tried hard to order food from here. I tried to order it on the website, and I couldn’t. So I walked in, and I kept getting shuttled from one line to another line and people kept cutting in front of me over and over and over again, and I waited inside for almost a half an hour. Employees literally ignored me. The people that walked in after I walked in got their pizzas before I walked out having never ordered. Screw that.

Thoroughly mediocre pizza - you can taste that they use unfiltered tap water with their ingredients and the aftertaste comes through in the pizza. Definitely disappointed!

Mediocre pizza for exuberant prices. Also what’s up with “To Go Package Fee” of 4.75% for take out orders. Last but not least good luck getting attention of the bros behind the counter. Rude, rude, rude.

I would make this my standard go-to if I lived in the neighborhood. Pizza is great, good crust, nice flavor. I sat outside and a sudden big shower came after I literally took my first bite. The pizza and beer got drenched. The guys gave me a new set without hesitation! This is what good service does - it makes people write good reviews and more people show up. Smart move by the owner, it might have cost him some sliced profit on my order but it will benefit the place in the long term.

Ordered the big pizza. oily cheese (low quality) tomato sauce is meh. but the worst offender is the doughnuts i couldn’t even mash it. its like eating stones obviously not fresh or a problem in recipe. wouldn’t try again
