after grabbing my fav coffee at Little Hat Coffee down the street (inside Streets Market) i stopped by for lunch! phonatics pleasantly surprised me! the pho broth was rich and truly delicious. the portions were generous, and i found myself unable to finish my meal. their summer rolls were a great size, four huge half-rolls. the place offers a decent amount of seating, and the staff is really nice and attentive just a heads-up: payments are made at the counter!

food is solid, and nice location. but certain items are overpriced. bring them prices down y’all…$16 for a portion of rice noodles tofu and lettuce without tip… these ingredients cost $3 from hmart. i don’t care if it’s dc, it’s not reasonable

Finaaaaaalllly - a great pho place in DC! Just tried it today with friends and we collectively talked about how delicious the pho was. I moved here from CA and miss the pho back home so excited to know there's a location here that I can rely on the broth is really flavorful and the portion sizes are generous. Will definitely be back!

This place is amazing. I think maybe best pho in DC, and the portions are amazing and so are the prices.

This was my first time dining at Phonatics and I highly recommend it!Ambience: I liked the music, think Ed Sheeran radio. They have beautiful quotes written on the tables, try to read a few!Service: You order at the counter and seat yourself, but I wasn’t sure what to get so I just got a Coke and sat down. I was immediately brought water and the server gave me another chance to order. I still wasn’t ready but as soon as I was, I went to the counter and was able to place my order right away. They had 2 servers who worked together, and I never had to wait long for anything, including the food.FOOD: I ordered the shrimp pho with extra vegetables ($3) and it was SO GOOD. It came out steaming hot and the broth is amazing, flavorful and fragrant. They serve fresh basil, jalapeños, and sprouts on the side and I liked that I was able to add them at my leisure.Price: I spent $26 for food, soda, and tip and it was definitely worth it10/10 will be back whenever I’m in townVegetarian options: Pho and bahn mi have tofu option, veggie spring and egg rollsDietary restrictions: Vegetarian options, they seem able to accommodate allergies with no problem. Pho is dairy and nut freeWheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance from the sidewalk

My favorite pho restaurant in DC I’ve been to thus far. The beef pho is SO good. Served traditionally with the thin sliced meat that finishes cooking in the broth. I’m kind of a pho snob and this broth was seriously flavorful, not too oily (common error in my experience), and perfectly balanced. The servers were attentive and kind, the food came out really quickly, and they had good music at the perfect volume. We’ll be back :)

This is my go to Pho spot in D.C. their pho has great flavor. It's always piping hot and fresh. I also love how they pack their to go orders.

steaming hot take incoming that barely has anything to do with phonatics - I really like pho, it gives the warm soup feeling while still being filling and not leaving me still a hangry a$$ without leaving my entire body sodium flooded like ramen does - so with that in mind, I believe pho is one of those foods that is consistently a 5/10. unless the meat is rotten, I swear it's always like "yes this is good, did the trick, but I'm not gonna write home about it" - has anyone ever RAVED about pho? If SO, please point me to the restaurant and I'll go tonight. - the portion and price point were wonderful, food came out fast and the shrimp in the bottom bowl and the three (yes 3) different types of pho in the top bowl were all scrumptious - love how you can add your own hoisin sauce, pay at counter even though you order seated which made us feel dumb as we waited lol

Nice pho! Got the veggie one and I liked the broth. It came with fried tofu, cauliflower, onion, and broccoli.

Let me preface by saying that PhoNatics used to be one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the city, but as of late they are slowly becoming my least favorite. I ordered to go, usually I'll eat inside. The order was packed horribly and my drink spilled all over my food. You don't play with people food like this!
