Pho Anh Dao is my go-to comfort food spot! I love the relaxed atmosphere, the familiar faces of the staff, and the consistency in the dishes. My boyfriend and I come here regularly and feel like we've been invited over for a casual lunch, scooting into the familiar chairs waiting for that heavenly broth to arrive at the table. The spring rolls and summer rolls are also great! I tried the "lemon grass soup"? once, it was very good, but I'm here for the pho!It never fails and I'm lucky to live just around the corner, as the craving hits often. In fact I'll be having it for lunch today : )Aint nothin Pho cant fix! : )

Not sure if Pho Anh Dao were having an off day, but of the four orders of pho we received all were virtually flavorless. The broth was so bland I could taste the residue from the plastic packaging the tendon came in. Portions were large and toppings generous so perhaps this is due to covid austerity.

I'm just glad that they survived the pandemic and were able to reopen . It's one of my go to place although I gotta say it's not the best pho place in town . But with that being said, everything is pretty solid over here . Convince location where u could also run lots of other errands in the neighborhood.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. The customer service is excellent and the tofu pho is to die for. I highly recommend!

Had a great time. We ordered seafood Pho with vegetable broth. It was very tasty and satisfying.

Great broth. No. 1 thing that matters with pho. Lowkey Fire playlist in this spot too. We got two specials with noodles on the side. Perfect, super filling, order for two hungry people who bikes around DC all day.

The location looks a bit bland (maybe even a bit kitsch with the fake flowers) and is usually empty - BUT the pho is quite delicious! The broth is flavorful and the meat is fresh. I would definitely return and would recommend getting pho here! One thing to note - they do not serve alcohol if you plan to get a drink with dinner

That place is amazing!! Day or night its the place to eat. The food is fresh & they have way more than Pho but the pho is yummy. The thai tea is to die for.

Everything I got here was pretty much just okay, not great but also not particularly lacking in flavor or character either. If you get a good bowl of pho, the first thing you'll notice isn't the saltiness of the broth, but rather the richness of the beef, the spice of the ginger, and the sweetness of a stewed onion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. It was beefy-tasting but mostly salty soup. The meat cuts in the pho itself were great, but man, the broth was just mediocre. Also had cha gio (egg rolls), which were pretty good. I would go here again if I had a craving for pho but it's not anything special. Oh, the server (a younger guy) was really nice and helpful!

The place is small but tidy, room for 20 maybe 30 patrons. Two guys were hustling running front of house. Broth was delicious. Brisket was well done but very tender. Good amount of tripe if you can stomach it, no pun intended. Large amount of bean sprouts, jalepenos, and basil were served with our dishes. Well priced.

My daughter and I ate here on Feb 08, 2020. The food was excellent.??‍♀️ The SERVICE was outstanding!! I recommend ALL appetizers and the first three meat options for the Pho in beef broth. You will NOT be disappointed.

Pho Special. Ton of flavor, a little thicker which I like. Take out is clutch and fast

The food is good, I'll give them that. But I'm sorry, the service is attrotious. Sooo terrible that I now make my boyfriend religiously pick up our take out orders because I refuse to sit there and wait 30 minutes anymore for our food after I'd been quoted only 10.

We experienced racism at this restaurant. My fiancé and I walked into this quaint and unassuming restaurant on new year's day for some comfort food after a busy night. After walking in, a man from across the small restaurant behind the register yelled out, "Hi!" I then said table for 2 and waked in the direction of the first free table I saw open in the packed restaurant because there was no host to seat us, only the yelling man. The table had 4 seats so my fiancé and I got comfortably seated and spread our jackets out on the extra chairs. Time passed, no menus were handed to us, no water was poured for us. 2 larger groups happened to walk in a few minutes after my fiancé and I had settled at our table. The 2 larger groups that walked in were all white people. Once the larger groups walked in, the same guy behind the register that yelled "Hi!" told us that we had to move to another table that had 2 seats because the larger group needed our table for 4. My fiancé said no. After dining in many of the finest restaurants in dc and receiving some of the best service around, this was a first for us...being told to get up and move because the group that came in after us needs to be seated. My fiancé also owns a marketing company that deals with multiple venues throughout the city, and good customer service is a basic fundamental practice he emphasizes to his team. Treat your customer well and with priority. After my fiancé said no, the employee responded with an "okay, then you will have to wait." Keep in mind we were seated and still waiting for menus. Any sensible person knows that you should not ask a customer to get up and move but rather give them fair quality service based on the simple fact that we came in before the other group did. The employee should have waited for another table to clear. I can't help but think if we were not 2 young black customers, we would not have been treated in such a disgusting, disappointing, disrespectful, racist manner. Needless to say, we grabbed our belongings, told the rude employee to treat customers better, and walked out. Fortunately there are tons of other establishments that don't treat customers in such an abominable racist manner. Thankfully there are also multiple social media platforms we can use to call out this restaurant for treating customers extremely poorly. Correct your subpar customer service ways because you just never know who you are dealing with. This employee needs to be fired.
