As a new vegetarian, I was really missing chicken nuggets and this hit that craving perfectly.I'm knocking down a few stars because...1- Online order time says 30 mins, it does not take this long. If you show up at ETA your food is cold.2- Sauces matter. When your charge $.50 pe sauce, and an item comes with two sauces... If you don't include all sauces in order you're ripping the customer off. I shouldn't need to inspect the bag before I head home but I learned my lesson. I ordered 3 items, asked for 6 BBQ, got TWO. How are three people supposed to share 2 tiny BBQ sauces?

With the Navy Yard HipCityVeg location closing, I was eager to find a replacement, which I (mostly) found with PLNT Burger.Located inside the Navy Yard Whole Foods, this little vegan burger/chicken shop is a must-try for vegan sandwich enthusiasts. The food tastes much better than it looks, I assure you.The vegan BBQ mushroom burger was delicious and was well-balanced between the sweet and savory BBQ sauce, umami grilled mushroom, faux meat layer and vegan cheese. The housemade strawberry lemonade was crisp and refreshing, and the home style fries were crunchy and well-seasoned.My only COMPLAINT was the utter lack of customer service. With no one else in line, the workers ignored my initial attempts to approach and order food. When someone finally decided to take my order, the woman behind the counter made no attempts to hide her annoyance, rushed my order, and had an attitude. Implementing friendlier customer service policies is the key to any future 5-star reviews.

"Why no pictures for this review?"....because I could not control myself! Hard to take a picture when a burger tastes this good! Pros: The vegan cheeseburger was hands down the BEST cheeseburger (and I'm purposely not labeling it the best vegan cheeseburger) I've ever had. I could not even tell that the cheese was vegan, yet alone the burger was plant based. I'm a meat eater would like to eat less meat and more alternative. All of the condiments and vetetables that came with it left me with a perfect bit EVERYTIME. I really don't like cheeseburgers, but this one surprised with it's amazing flavor and how delicious it was. You can order ahead via the app and shop throughout Whole Foods while you wait for your order to be ready (although I've never waited longer than a couple minutes for my order). Store staff was kind, professional, and quick! Cons: It's basically a near $10 burger (with tax)...but boy is it delicious. While Whole Foods is a convenient spot (and has free parking if you buy something from the store), there are some challenges to this location because the eating area is right next to the register, but not near the plnt burger station and the store is generally pretty busy. Overall, I 100% recommend for the carnivores and omnivores among us!

I'm particularly enamored with the Chili N Cheese, crafted with Beyond Meat sausage, and the Crispy Chik N Funguy Sandwich, featuring Oyster Mushrooms fried in Sunflower Seed oil. The excitement began when Whole Foods introduced these locations within their already fantastic stores, and upon tasting the food, I was instantly captivated. While the Bloomies were good, I sensed they might be a tad overpriced for the portion size. I confess to having sampled only three items thus far, but I am eagerly exploring more menu options to provide a comprehensive review of their offerings.
