Pot Belly delivers perfection in every bite! Their sandwiches are generously filled and perfectly toasted. The soups are a comforting bonus, especially on chilly days. Great service, clean space, and the ultimate sandwich experience. Don’t miss their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!

This Eric guy is very nice and friendly. Made us smile and have nice start of the day
Potbelly has been around since 1977 from Chicago, Illinois and is perfect when you’re in DC sightseeing and need a quick dine in or to go meal!
I’m all about the positive vibes when eating out! Whether it’s a fast food joint or a dine in restaurant. When you go, you hope to be satisfied with what you pay for. I have never been let down, it’s quick, easy, simple subs, full of flavor! I’ve been going to Potbelly’s for years since they opened up one in Annapolis, Maryland right next to a movie theater. We would get a few subs and sneak them into the theater. Best movie meal ever!
Anyway, we were in Washington DC and we were trying to get a quick bite before seeing the MJ musical… at the National Theatre. And by the way, one of the best musicals I’ve seen in a long time! Anyway, we ordered our usual, double turkey sub with everything. and of course, I got one of the chocolate chip cookie! Toasted bread with melted cheese on a turkey sub, pure indulgence! But, I do have to say, the Potbelly in Annapolis does a little better on the double turkey sub lol! But who is pointing fingers? ?
If you’re in the mood for something fast and you love subs and large homemade cookies, you haven’t been to a Potbelly yet, you definitely have to try them out. they are everywhere! They also make soups and smoothies. They have refreshments and bagged snacks.
My wife even mentioned about the atmosphere… Has a 70s vibe, lots of wall decor big open space makes you feel like you’re walking into a place you’d enjoy sitting down and eating. #potbelly #subshop #sandwichworks
Parking: OK, well this is Washington DC so you either have to find a parking spot on the street, or in a garage you know the deal… And if you don’t mind walking park anywhere you can… At least with reasonable distance up the restaurant. But most people don’t go to DC to just eat at Potbelly’s it happens to be a convenience when you’re in DC and there’s lots of sites to see in the areas.
Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendliness, it’s a casual/fast food kind of dining experience with all kinds of subs. I’m sure kids would like not to mention the snacks and the big cookies.

They were supposed to be open, but the doors are still locked. I guess I’ll take my business to a competitor instead.

We were at this location today to have lunch before our show at national Theatre. They were also nice and friendly at this location went out of their way to help our large group of seven kids parents and grandparents. We ordered five milkshakes. One lady even came over to our table after we were all settled in to ask if we had everything we needed. Not something you really expect at the potbelly restaurant or any so-called fast food. Highly recommend them

I have two bad experiences in a row at Potbelly's at 1299 Pennsylvania. The service was slow with no customers. The sandwich - a wreck - with lettuce, tomato and mayo was cold. And it was expensive ($14). The website for the store does not work and I called Potbelly's customer service and they no longer answer the phone. I think it is the location. The store near the National Archives metro was really excellent.UPDATE: The location's manager called me the next day to follow up. And I appreciate that, but that does not change the food quality issues.

Coming from Denmark, we were hungry as we had been walking from the Arlington Memorial. Came in and they helped us choose menu and brought us some very tasty sandwiches. Friendly employees, with a smile. Cosy atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
