I have two bad experiences in a row at Potbelly's at 1299 Pennsylvania. The service was slow with no customers. The sandwich - a wreck - with lettuce, tomato and mayo was cold. And it was expensive ($14). The website for the store does not work and I called Potbelly's customer service and they no longer answer the phone. I think it is the location. The store near the National Archives metro was really excellent.UPDATE: The location's manager called me the next day to follow up. And I appreciate that, but that does not change the food quality issues.

Coming from Denmark, we were hungry as we had been walking from the Arlington Memorial. Came in and they helped us choose menu and brought us some very tasty sandwiches. Friendly employees, with a smile. Cosy atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

Went to Potbelly instead of Subway today since their veggie sandwiches are better. Tenee (sorry if I misspelled your name) offered great customer service even though there were so many customers in line. She seemed like she was the general manager and I wanted to compliment her professionalism, patience, and composure under pressure. Thank you, I will be back.

First time visit while in time on business. Definitely worth a repeat. The quality of sandwich was top notch. The chicken pot pie soup dish was also excellent. Food was served promptly. and the place is nice inside.

I work nearby so I wanted to like this place but both times the workers were unnecessarily rude so I will not be back. The first time was my first ever time going to potbelly so the worker was rude when I didn't understand how ordering worked but I decided to give it a second chance and placed the order online to avoid that. I got there at the time it said it would be ready and it wasn't ready yet so I waited a few minutes and then asked about it. The worker went and checked and said it just came through and I needed to wait seemingly annoyed which wasn't true because by this time I could see another worker packing my bag up with the sandwich ready but that's not that big of a deal. But then they hand me my to go bag and I said I got a drink and they said we know it's in the bag and I was confused because I got a fountain drink not a bottled drink and I said oh I thought I got a fountain drink and they got annoyed by this and said yeah it's in the bag, we didn't make it for you, you have to get it out. The bag was all taped up so I don't understand why they would put the cup in there. I had to rip open the bag in the store to get it out which once again wouldn't have been a big deal except they were rude to me and acted like how dare I not know the cup was in the taped up to go bag which makes no sense in the first place. I also chose the light option for the Italian seasoning and it's so overpowering I can't taste anything else.

Good food. The service is also good and the workers there seem to like it, talking while also getting the job done. Recommend going if you need a quick place to swing by and grab some sandwiches.

Wow! This location changed! When I used to live here for two years ago, this is a potbelly I used to pick up lunch for him to go sit in front of the White House. But wow. all workers all had stinky attitudes and took forever to make our sandwich, which is an assembly line. I mean look 30 minutes to make 3 sandwiches with no customization. The only good thing about this place is that I order an avocado turkey, and they actually gave me avocado that was visible in my sandwich versus other potbelly locations. I love potbelly it's one of my favorite sandwich shop place BUT the man customer service really lack in DC!
