Amazing vegan bowl! The firecracker bowl was awesome and they shared a cauliflower ball with a great cheese taste. The owner makes Vertage vegan cheese brand that’s the best I’ve tasted

Such an interesting take for vegan options in a mixture of cuisine that isn't vegan friendly. Honestly well done.Vegetarian options: Great options.

Before heading back home yesterday, we in here. We ordered for Dan dan carbonara, Sichuan dumplings, fried rice and fried chicken. It's vegan food but we tried still to find out the taste. Our children did not notice any change of taste for the chicken given that it's plant based/vegan food. We're happy about it since they were able to eat without complaining. Means that the food was great. The only challenge is the dine in area since they have limited space. But overall we loved the food☺️ and the service.

That pumpkin soup was inedible. When I called they could not even locate my order and offered no help to resolve my complaint. Needless to say not spending my money here anymore.

First time, went there with the whole family. Got General Chicken, Hoisin Steak Bowl, and Korean BBQ. They were all delicious with a unique twist compared to their traditional counterparts (like the pineapple kimchi). Steak melts in your nouth. Generals chicken is not too sweet and it's got a little kick. Dishes are cooked right there in the open kitchen so you are eating fresh for sure. Parking can be challenging but on Sunday you don't need a permit for nearby residential streets.

Plant-based takes on my favorite childhood AND drunk college favorites? Sign. Me. Up. Pow Pow is my life embodied in a single restaurant, with all of the indulgent, delicious Asian guilty pleasures that were forced out of my diet when I became a pescatarian. Whether it's orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, and a good ol' teriyaki stir fry, Pow Pow has you covered with its delicious array of vegan bowls. They're also super accommodating of other dietary restrictions, with a separate GF menu (or you can make any of their other bowls GF with a few substitutions). It's genuinely impossible to go wrong with a single item on their menu, but a few favorites are:- Tokyo Roboto: perfectly balanced teriyaki sauce with a touch of bright acidity from the grilled pineapple...absolutely chef's kiss.- K-Town BBQ: maybe I'm just a sucker for pineapple because the pineapple kimchi really binds this whole dish together...the sesame drizzle on top of the Korean BBQ-flavored "chicken" also kicks this bowl up a notch- Sticky Sesame: if I'm feeling something a bit more indulgent, this is the perfect go-to -- the "chicken" is fried to perfection, and the sauce is perfectly sticky and sesame-y- Trolley Fries: my favorite when I'm feeling ~especially~ indulgent. The flurry of sauces / toppings (kimchi, Korean ketchup, togarashi mayo, cashew cheddar) gives these perfectly crispy fries all the flavor in the world. The slivered scallions add just a touch of green to help you pretend you're being healthy, and you can also top this bundle of wonders with a protein of choice- Thai Pumpkin Soup: I'm 99% sure this is just a seasonal item for the fall / winter, but it is fantastic, and I'm going to need this on the full-time menu ASAP. It has a rich pumpkin flavor made luxurious by the coconut milk and delightfully comforting with a touch of heat by all the spicesBeyond the absolutely PHENOMENAL food, everything about Pow Pow sparks joy -- from the utilitarian, but upbeat atmosphere with A+ music selection, to the quick and friendly service, every element of Pow Pow's dining experience was well thought-out and expertly executed. You can order at one of two kiosks (great if you're feeling antisocial and / or just want to spend some extra time staring at the menu), and then take your pick of a table or barstool if you'd like to watch passerby while waiting for your name to be called. All in all, Pow Pow has solidified its spot as one of my go-to D.C. spots -- while the H Street location will always have a special place in my heart as our OG, I'm so excited that we also have the Franklin Park location!

I'm usually very happy with Pow Pow, but tonight I ordered a dinner for delivery, and when I received it, my main meal wasn't included, just a line drawn through the order with a note: sold out. So, after waiting for the delivery, I had nothing to eat. My partner's meal was there, but was way too spicy for him or for me to share. Please...couldn't the restaurant have called me and let me know? I would have chosen something else. That is just poor customer service. Of course, UberEats refunded me...but I still didn't have a meal.

We ordered online and our order was ready to pickup within 5-10 minutes. We ordered the firecracker bowl, firecracker cauliflower, kbbq bowl, and natalie porkman bowl. The vegan meats all have great texture. Everything was extremely flavorful and had great textural contrast. Our favorites were the firecracker cauliflower and firecracker chicken bowl. We got half signature rice half salad for our bowls. The rice is coconuty with quinoa, rice and forbidden rice.

I'm not from the DC area but stopped by with the family to get something to eat. The menus are poorly described. Having a family member with allergies, soy and gluten, their menus don't accurately describe what is in the dishes. Once we received the dishes, and found soy in our bowls even though they were NOT outlined in the menu...we brought it to the attention of the staff. We were told oh well, we already made the bowl and that's how we make it. He also explained that the cooking staff has no control over the menus and they just make the food as told. Choosing to not make a scene, we wanted to order something else but specifically asked if the purity bowl could be made without the edamame. The staff explained it doesn't matter because all the dishes were made in soy oil anyway (including the ones we already ate).Definitely a 0 star restaurant - poor presentation of the food, poor description of the menus, and horrible horrible customer service. In my 30 plus years as plant based, this was the worst restaurant experience to date. Buyer beware.Dietary restrictions: Staff needs proper training on how to direct customers with dietary restrictions as well as how to deal with customers. Also, the menu needs to properly describe ingredients in each dish
