I very frequently come here when I'm in DC. The food is delicious and presented wonderfully! It's also quick. They have great unique sodas and deserts too. I'm happy to come here anytime I'm in town.

I’ve gotten takeout here for both lunch and dinner, as it’s a quick and convenient option for vegan food whenever I’m in downtown DC and hungry. They have a great rewards program and the employees are kind and helpful. So far I’ve tried the jalapeño steak and cheese egg rolls (delicious, would especially recommend for non-vegetarians), mom’s style fried rice (very large portion), crispy lemon parm brussels (super tasty), ube cold brew latte, and pumpkin truffles (ok, but not as good as an actual dim sum place). Would recommend eating the food as soon as possible (or reheating) because it tastes best warm!

Pow Pow’s DC was an absolute win—especially on Christmas Eve! Our food was delivered right on time, the portions were very generous, and everything was incredibly delicious. The Asian-inspired fried cashew cheese fritters were a standout—crispy, flavorful, and so satisfying. The deli wrap appetizer was also really yummy and comforting. On top of that, the pricing was excellent, especially for high-quality vegan food. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

This establishment is inconsistent. While the chicken strips are reliably good, most other menu items vary widely in quality depending on the day and time.

More troubling is the absence of a clear process for handling customer complaints when management is not present. In my case, the cashew cheese croquettes were inedible, yet no refund or resolution was offered, leaving me to discard the food on the spot. Requiring customers to absorb the loss—or pursue a credit card dispute—is unacceptable and reflects poor operational standards.

For a business to function sustainably, a manager or owner must be available to address quality issues and authorize refunds. Operating solely with kitchen staff, without on-site or accessible management is not a viable long-term practice. Refunds and returns are a standard cost of doing business, particularly when food quality fails to meet reasonable expectations.

You order on iPads and then watch the chefs cook you food from a distance, so it’s not really a hospitable experience… but the place has nice vibes and you don’t have to tip a waiter 🤷‍♂️

I have walked past this place a million times and have always been turned away from 'vegan' food. I was proven wrong. This place is amazing! The chef is so kind. The flavors are amazing. I did take away because I was rushing back to the office. Fresh, healthy, flavorful and really affordable! MUST go.

Someone said the vegab fried chicken was amazing ao I came here...idk what vegan fries chicken they've been eating but it wasn't a vibe for me. It taste like vital wheat gluten breaded, fried, and tossed in sauce. The actual plant protein doesnt get crispy and neither did the exterior breading in this case.

The staff was very kind when I elected for a refund due to my dissatisfaction. And the esthetic inside was very nice. Maybe other menu items are better. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Ordered the food for delivery. Generous portions. I ordered dishes mainly on lettuce and so happy I did. One dish with their rice and it was so sweet.
